very unlikely since she disapeared one thoussand years ago and Cadance is not that old. She didn't even know the Crystal Empire in the first place. At best, she's a far away descendant and since all the inhabitants of the empire were banished for one thoussand years, this is also unlikely.

I don't know how Tirek heard of her... i'm not sure he heard of her, he never act as if he know her. Maybe he just heard of her because she is the ruler of the Cristal empire? Cadance don't appear in the flashback with Scorpan, Celestia and Luna.

(fake brony bluffing alert) Indeed, she does not appear in the show. She is the former princess of Crystal Empire and her story is closely linked to Sombra. She appeared in the official comic of Sombra's background story . Being mentioned and given a hint of her future in official comic #34-37.

Not every RULER has to be an alicorn. Wee see that ponies from arabia are RULERS and they are just regular unicorns. Celestia said multiple times that you must earn your wings. And the most useful tip is that you need to create NEW magic to be an alicorn. Maybe Amore didn't create new magic. She created a relic. it's different. But we never know, there is more for sure.

Amore, could've been close relative of Cadence look at Cadence last name is Mi Amore Cadenza. She has Amore's last name in it I think its safe to say that she is a relative of Amore now my 2nd theory is that The Townsponies gave Cadance that name in regards to the 1st queen of the Crystal Empire. That Ruled 1,000 years ago in pony years (ofc!) 3rd theory Therefore, Flurry heart may have more blood in her veins of Amore's or maybe its just genetics. Who knows Hasbro was infact trying to hint at the viewers, standpoint that Cadance is a relative of Amore. Its so obvious. But of course I digress, it could've just been a coincidence. Or maybe .... saving one pony is as important as saving all of them? No ... i m sorry but no. Fluttershy? Yes, she is a bearer of a element. She IS important. But a random pony is not. if turns into a seige, honestly the fewer random ponies the better, since it means less mouths to feed. If you cant contribute effectivly in the battle its a waste of time and resources. Now this is purley on a logical view. Do I agree with it? No, but logicly speaking it makes the most sense. I wouldnt risk 5elite soldiers for a random child. It makes no sense logicly speaking. You really gotta look at the whole picture logicly before saying something like that in a battle situation.
