the tumour would preclude him from flying but you know a veteran with alot of time on his hands and a love of helicopters and looking for something to do could find alot of use back at the hanger looking after all those helis and making sure they get that transmission fluid that they need who knows maybe we can go on a few "test flights" here and there make sure that there running just perfect under supervision of course

@@patmcbride9853 Defender (MD500) air crew had cathiters inserted, with additional fuel tanks they could stay airborn for over 7 to 8 hours.

As an 91B20Y1 Combat Medical NCO who flew all types of helos during the course of my duty from UH-1, UH-60, CH-47's and even MH-6 Little Birds, my favorite helo is the Huey. She will always be dear to my heart.

Not sure what I found funnier her using the helicopter's call-sign (like the vet will know it) to contact the vet, that Rabbit is trying to act like she is the only one in trouble (they are a team and he is senior) or that he is treating the whole thing like a joke acting like the gov't won't shoot the vet down if they think he is a threat.

If the rest of the show was this good in having characters act like normal people, it is a shame it only got a single season. It was 2009-2010 but I never saw it. I think I was on the night shift during those years.

Not all people in wheelchairs are paralyzed. There are a lot of conditions where your ability to be on your feet for very long is significantly compromised.

Whenever a pilot will go to washroom wether it is a man or woman it responsibility to take care the helicopter . If person leave it keys of helicopter that means you must watch it as your mistakes .

All newer civilian piston helicopters have keys, and all newer (post 1974 Military Turbine Helicopters have a keyed ignitor interlock. A lot of civilian turbine helicopters have that switch as an option.

Most of the controls are hand controls I think plus he may still have some leg mobility even if he cant walk

@@maggiethedruid9010 everything but tail rotor is on the yolk and cyclic hand controls the tailrotor however is foot controlls so he wont be able to steer the heli terribly well its not impossible to fly without the tail rotor just not really advised but he only needs some mobility in his legs to do that and certainly less than standing requires

i know people who are in wheelchairs but can stand and walk the issue is they cant stand for too long need support or to lean on something and cant walk far or verry fast so the wheelchair is the best option
