2:39 the doctor said everything was fine not dead
@Epic5son-i1m5 минут бұрын
But he lost 5% of blood and they need to pump blood to their baby to be more fine
@Epic5son-i1m3 минут бұрын
But they didn't do that because the baby is not dry enough to pump blood, so they need to find a way to make the baby dry to pump the baby blood

It always amazes me in these situations how a family will allow one child with issues to destroy their entire family. This psychopath is a danger to their younger son and even themselves. Sometimes you must accept that the egg is bad and think of the bigger picture

Shutting out details helps no one. The least they could have done at first is say that Hank has a bad history with the patient. Saying nothing and dancing around the bad news like they did makes things worse.

I don’t think he had enough for an emergency psychiatric detention in my opinion. Just a broken bone even if it indicated what he said I don’t think is enough. Otherwise any doctor could make a determination based on an injury. I think you have to witness destructive behavior of some sort. Any lawyers out there? What do you think?

I love how Dr. Charles doesn’t sugarcoat or lie, but knows that five years IS a long time to a little kid - almost half his lifetime, so telling him he has five years to live is like telling a 40-year-old they’re going to die at 80.

And saying that a parent can say that it's okay to castrate their kids cuz they have a condition is sick. You wouldn't say a boy who is healthy is going to be allowed to be castrated because their mother wants it. There are sick parents out there. If they want to harm their kids they can have CPS on their ass. I think that's discrimination to say oh this kid was born with a condition so we're just going to castrate him that's mean. Just because the parents are confused. Isn't the child's fault. Especially since it's a physical condition. And you're saying that this is a genetic male. Their XY chromosomes testicles everything like males they just have a condition that makes them look kind of female. That's not their fault. And they shouldn't have to have their parts removed. Just because somebody's uncomfortable.

Honestly, the way Sarah lied with zero expression was scary and impressive on the actress's part. First rule of hostage negotiation is building trust and not breaking it. It could have gone so badly if the kidnapper didn't believe her. There was a reason the head psych was side eyeing her. Her father was a psychopath and she was displaying those traits in that moment. Chilling. Not saying Sarah was one, just that she was showing some as alarming traits in the moment. I can see why he was so concerned.

The scariest thing about medicine is that you can have all the right people do all the right things, and still end up losing a patient. It's why we can be superstitious at times.

No child should have an option for a gender change and a parent should be able to decide either but this is way different. One of the rare cases where the child is born with both….no clue what I would do we just have to listen to our hearts and do what’s best for our children.

sacrificing one life ot save many is actually smart. why let a patient withno quality of life live his miserable life while other people suffer. besides as dr manning said,there may be complications if they tried to Resus him. many cases were proven that by perverting the course of a natural death, a resus patient could and may siffer long term medical complicaitons DNR should be manaded by law

There needs to be better education about Down's Syndrome to combat the stigma. Those with downs aren't less than. They may have higher support needs and may have health issues that are part of having downs, but it doesn't mean they are incapable of independence and autonomy. There are ppl with downs who have phds and lead very successful, independent lives. Some need a bit more help to be independent, some need in home caretakers. Even with higher needs, there is NO reason to treat them like infants or like they aren't their own person. If you find you are making medical decisions based on your wants and needs instead of the wants and needs of the person you have guardianship over, you need to ask for someone else to take over. It's a tiring, thankless job. I get being burnt out. I get help ain't easy to get. But you need to at least turn POA over to someone who puts the patient first. And if you can no longer handle being your child's caretaker, pursue the necessary avenues to get them set up with care elsewhere. It doesn't mean you do not love the, it just means you recognize you are not going to be around forever and you are no longer able to provide the level of care that they may need. I get that's not always feasible, I know the state can be incredibly stingy with providing care for disabled adults, but you have to get the ball rolling early because when you are bearing your end, you do not need to be panicking, trying to get your kids needs met before you are gone.
