Man, ive recently statted playing without hud, nad sim battles SLAP. Sadly gaijin doenst model a bunch of rhw cockpit instruemnts correctly in aLot of fighter/attacker, and lets not even look at bombers.

Yes, it’s a shame they don’t care more about sim and get these models right. Even planes like the Ta 154, for which we have to pay, are missing their cockpit. Another thing I’m missing that would be easy to add, is an option to remove that progress bar on top while being in minimal HUD mode. Would be a small change doing a lot for immersion.

Yeah… felt a bit too easy. He probably stayed too long in the gunners view and wasn’t able to recover after loosing the left aileron.

Noooo... That is called the Komet - power !!! That little devils egg was unstoppable while he had fuel in his tanks...after the tanks were emptied... that was a different story. But still if you played carefully and smart even with empty tanks you could outrun most of your enemies. ...The problem was that Lippisch the designer of the Komet purposefully forgotten to provide the craft with airbrakes. The great feud between Him and Messerschmitt could be traced back to that...If your enemies where smart and waited for your appearance above your homebase ...you were dead meat ...because in the amount of time used to bleed out the Komet tremendous speed for a safe landing the P - 47 and P - 51 guy's have plentiful occasion's to have your head for dinner...😅😅😅

You can hide the entire interface by pressing Alt + Z on keyboard, but there's is a keybind for it under Controls > Common, I believe. It's beautifully immersive! Although I find it a little difficult to still control the speed so as not to reach the destruction limit, especially with the cockipts with low detail and using high FOV. Hope to see you around one of these days! o7

Thank you for the comment. I already tried out playing without any HUD-Information. My video of the Do 335 is what came out of it. The problem is, specially against fighters, that with all those captured premium planes, it is often practically impossible to be 100% sure, that you are not chasing a teammate. The ability to recognize friendly planes is the only reason, that makes me keep playing in minimal HUD mode. I play on a 49 inch 4k TV, so luckily I can read the instruments perfectly. It makes the game so much more immersive (in planes that are modeled well of course ^^).

Very nice, just checked the Pfeil video! Do you also constantly check the engine/water/oil temperature gauges to avoid overheating? I still find that very difficult :( Keep it up with the good videos!!! 👌🏼

@@MartinFRaposo You get a warning at the bottom (halfway left) margin of the screen when overheating in minimal HUD mode. Without HUD it is more difficult, as the margin between acceptable and too high temperature in the temperature valves is minimal. When I recorded the video of the Do 335, I was flying most of the time with activated manual prop pitch control with reduced engine RPMs and opened radiators to give me a bit more temperature headroom for fights. Other than that, you can focus carefully at the sound that comes out of the engines. The game adds some distinctive sounds when the engine starts to overheat heavily (when the temperature would be red in the HUD) and adds some more when the engine is beginning to take damage.
