In How the Garcia Girls lost their Accents by Julia Alvarez, the chapters are in reverse order. They’re more like interconnected short stories about the characters though. I also remember Chronicle of a Death foretold by Gabriel Garcia Marquez being told out of order, but it was narrated by a character in the future to give the story flow. Would love to read something with the chapters out of order!

TJ have you read the ghosts of heaven by Marcus Sedgwick ( I think that’s spelt right) the chapters aren’t out of order but there are four sections in the book and you can read them in any order and the story still makes sense. I found it really interesting.

Yeah! I hope Cindy is gonna be as blown away by Prisoner of Askaban as my 13 year old self was. It’s been my favorite ever since (I’m 31 now, w h a t). Because that book is so inventive and has the greatest unpredictable twists (if you go in knowing nothing. That’s a prerequisite for its capacity to surprise you.) Can’t wait to hear her take on it. (But yeah the hope for more diversity is going to be an endless one. Even though it does clearly and continuously address discrimination. Just more in the metaphorical way, eh.)

My parents took me to a therapist when I was like 13 because my brother had died, and let me tell you, I came out of that session more traumatized than when I went in. I had a stutter for a whole week after and I lost all my progress for my speech impediments. This gave me a fear of therapists, but I always love stories of how they helped other people because I can't imagine doimg that....
