Happy Spring 2024! I was born in the late fall of 1978 in Central Kentucky and grew up in Northen Kentucky. I first heard this classic, wonderful song when I was just two and a half! I loved this song then and I still love it now! The Sky is a Beautiful Clear Blue today! The Sun is Shining today!

I love this song! I was born in 1978! A dear friend gave me the 1958 recording that belonged to her daughter and some of her other daughter's children's records! Her daughter didn't want them!

My grandmother and mom used to sing this to me when I was little to go to bed! I didn’t know where it came from until tonight and this is such a sweet piece of nostalgia for me 🖤💚 I sing it casually now

My mum used to sing this to me when I was a child in the late 50's early 60's, I loved it. Mum passed away mid 1980's Very recently, Jan 2023 I was sitting in living room and I could smell cigarette smoke. This happened several times a day over several days, but I thought nothing of it. Mum was a smoker. A day or two later am washing crockery in my kitchen when suddenly this song comes into my head! All day its swirling around my head and I start thinking about mum. Then I remember the cigarette smoke. So I phone my elder sister and tell her of my experience, she laughs and I ask her why she is laughing, she told me....."the same thing happened to me the other day" coincidence?????????

I was born quite recently but this gives me so many memories of my childhood personally, my mother would sing this to me every night before I went to bed, along with mull of kintire. It reminds me of the times it was all so simple without grief and loss and sadness. I am so glad this song is still on KZbin.

I happened on this following a fleeting memory from my childhood and thought I'd have a look. And gee! Here it is - my very first ever record - yeah, I know. I was what? - 2-3 years old (I'm now 60) and my mum played this multi coloured single that kind of hypnotised me as it spun around and around on the turntable. The sixties were indeed days of psychedelia and this record certainly lived up to that. It was like a multi-coloured daubed pattern. Along with this there was also Red River Valley - She'll Be Coming Round The Mountain on (bubble gum) pink plastic. Not sure now if we were not being groomed or softened up ahead of the likes of Marc Bolan or Pink Floyd. But yes - this visit brought some fond memories back, so many thanks for the upload.

I'm 37 and this was my first record. I played it all the time and just stumbled on it again now. Reminds me of a time when things were so simple and great. As an adult now it's a much different story

I was having a rummage through my old primary school mementos and found my old school shirt from leaving day, signed by my classmates and one name in particular reminded me of the time she performed this song acapella in front of the class. That was about 32 years ago and I realized I'd never heard the actual song, so I searched and ended up here. It's definitely the same song although I'm sure she sang "got no worries, got no cares" so maybe there are alternate versions out there by other artists.

Same as Big Jim, I remember this from my childhood I was born in 1962. Yes we had single records, all splotches of colours on the vinyl and yes I remember the bubblegum pink too.

Was this the very first recording of this lovely song? I remember mid 50s my beloved Gran giving me a lovely teddy with a proper grunt and moving joints. The bear got passed on to my sister's children of whom there were 4, unfortunately I've no idea what became of him. Would love to be reunited. Hearing this song brought back very strong emotions.

Dottie’s is a sweet version but Rosemary Clooney sang the original in 1950. As a real ancient, Rosemary’s is the version I listened to with mum! (I always wondered how tiny singers had to be to fit inside the radio, never mind a whole orchestra!)
