Me Made May ideas for my wardrobe

this is my first Me Made May and I decided to look at what I actually wear during a typical day. ...which appears to be jeggings and a sweatshirt!

I'm wearing a So Sew Easy free pattern Linen V Neck top in chiffon from a Sew Hayley Jane box, with my Fabrics Store Cass pants, with a linen mix from Buttons, my local haberdashery shop in Biggleswade.

I can always be very easily distracted by a nice frock, completely unsuitable fabric....or both! But that's what makes it fun 😁

I'm so glad you like them. I love my sewing and I love talking about it.....on a vlog I can witter on to people who love sewing too and give my poor partner a break 🤣🤣🤣💓

Hi Kay! Your outfit today is delicious. I love pink/orange/red together. And the glasses too! I bought a downfill vest(waistcoat? Jacket without sleeves) this spring and I love it. I get really hot and by wearing a knit sweater and the downfill I am warm and not too hot.

Oh and I forgot, I had some of that denim jersey and it was so comfortable! I made leggings and I wish I had made jeans with pockets etc instead. Put a sturdy elastic in the waistband because they tend to slide down when they are that stretchy.

I do enjoy your vlogs. I have very similar clothing needs. I’m going to sew a bumbag for treats and dog poo bags! Well maybe…I’m very tempted by the cashmerette club and would love to hear your experience of it.

Thank you so much 😘. I did try to sew a treat pouch, but it didn't work so if yours works I'd love to know please. I joined the Cashmerette club over a year ago and have signed up for another year. I like a lot of the "back issue" free patterns and have made a fair few of them. They release a free pattern a month for the club and all are available to download to pdf all the time you are a member. Obviously some are not to my liking but there are enough to make it worthwhile. The have a sew along for each pattern and blogs/vlogs on various aspects of fitting, sewing etc. She's just done a "sloper" pattern along with a quite intensive course on perfecting fit, using the sloper. That was free to club members. I find it worth while as I tend to use Cashmerette to save the faff of FBA's all the time. Let me know if you need anymore info. Happy to share my experience xx

Always enjoy our vlogs. I am also making dogwalking clothes to fill gaps in my me made wardrobe. I have hoodies cut out and a spring in London top. I intend to buy some active wear fabric to make leggings. I wear a bumbag normally 😂💜 xxx

I hadn't realised I needed more dogbwalking clothes until my regular Hoodie was in the wash. I had to go out looking like I'd fallen in the laundry basket and stuff had attached itself to me as I climbed out 🫣. The Spring in London looks ideal for dogwalking 🤩. Bumbag is a brilliant idea, I'm sure I have a pattern somewhere! Will you be doing a vlog with your dog walking outfits? Sounds as if they would be really good 🥰😘😘

@@pinkderdlesews last month I had a good think about what I reach for daily and because I walk a client's dog every day thst it is what I wear mostly and at home I wear pjs. I have a about 4 bum bags 😂 Yes when I have made my dog walking outfits I will do a vlog. I'm still trying to find the perfect fabric for my leggings xxx

Enjouyed your vlog. Had a few laughs. I'm more of an Indie pattern girl just because I've had better experience with them then the big 4 and here in Canada the big 4 arent cheap.

Glad you enjoyed it and it made you laugh 😃. I too prefer the indie patterns, I think the instructions are so much better! I just happened to have those Big 4 ones in my pattern stash.....which is so much bigger than my fabric stash 🫣🫣🫣. I got a lot of them free with sewing magazines when I started sewing again and I think I kept every one, suitable or not! I'll let you know how I get on with them.....Good or bad 😁😁😁😁😘

I tnink the cargo pockets on the sides of the legs of the new look cargo trousers are not real pockets. They are fakes, just the flaps. Another KZbinr I watch made them because of the pockets, and wasn't happy about it.
