I watched you as a 13 year old girl and then on throughout my teenage years. I watched in awe as you sang your heart out in every cover and this has always been my favourite. Now as a 26 year old woman with a family of my own, my heart aches so much knowing that you will never reach the full potential and opportunities that laid ahead for you. She’s the reason I bought a keyboard and taught myself to play piano. I was so inspired by her when I was younger. Saw a video about her come up on TikTok today and had to come revisit her old videos. She’s so pretty and talented. Sad she left us so soon.

Wow I watched this cover as a kid. After randomly remembering it today I decided to look it back up I can’t believe that she’s gone. It’s honestly depressing. I watched Christina since she started making videos on KZbin in like 09/10, she was probably the only channel I actually subscribed to and eagerly awaited every upload. I remember going nuts when I seen her audition on the voice as soon as I seen "Christina Grimmie - Wrecking Ball" pop up on the screen. I know this might be something of an inappropriate thing to share, but on the day she was tragically taken from us, I seen the news break on TV minutes after I had taken acid, something I had never done. It was a a birthday present from/with some close friends. It was supposed to be a fun, happy night. But I had never lost anyone in my life at that time, no family/friends. So after watching her all those years, I was experiencing the biggest race of emotions... I didn't know how to feel. Well, an hour later and it kicked in and my friends were super understanding and comforting and sat with me in a dark room and we watched her videos for probably 2 hours. These were all real "alpha" frat boys, unlike myself. But they all are saying kind things about her and listening to her sing Titanium, lol. It was incredibly therapeutic with the acid listening to every piece of music she ever made through the night. But even though it felt, at the end, like I came to terms with what happened... I haven't been able to listen to her since that day. I don't know if it's because I didn't want to make myself sad or angry... or if I wanted to keep that final memory of her music from that night as is. I listened to her again today. I really miss her and her music. Her soul was too pure for this cruel place... I don't know where we go when we die, but I hope that she is doing what she loves where ever that is.

I often revisit this video. I remember seeing this video as a teen and being mesmerized by her. Still can’t believe what had happened to her.
