Stuff that grind my gears that was briefly mentioned in this video: (haven't watched the movie myself because why would I put myself through that when I can just watch this video instead?) ◇ The girlfriend just being there to make the girl boss more ~exotic~ ◇ The girl boss getting married to the guy and abandoning everything she believed in ◇ The very unsettling tone of wanting to be so feminist and ground-breaking while simultaneously feed into all of the patriarchal norms ◇ They chose the most trivial things to make the guy interesting to her - like come on WOW he knows how to fix a children's bike? This is for certain the only guy I ever want to spare! ◇ How did he even manage to get into the garage? Wouldn't the super calculating murderer have the bodies better hidden in a house she regularly invited men to roam around freely when she's away? ◇ Why did the guy's friend know where he was? If she would have murdered him he would just report her to the police...

I won't be watching this movie, but I will absolutely watch your videos on any topic. So thanks for taking the hit for us and I hope you actually do make a ton of money on this one to compensate for the pain 😬

I feel like this movie just needs a re-edit and a couple re-dubbed scenes to make it a camp masterpiece ...release the snider cut?

You should watch Nick DiRamio’s video on this movie if you haven’t seen it! Every video he makes is hilarious, and it would be the perfect balance to your “taking it seriously” viewing perspective 🙃

Why is Native deodorant so expensive? Are other brands cutting corners? Does Native need to be so expensive or are they just like Raycon, who jacked up their prices when they started advertising with influencers?
@kitbracadabra3 жыл бұрын
I use Tom's deodorant that's natural and available more/less advertised than native, it's expensive too
@christmastiger3 жыл бұрын
Honestly I'm not sure, I bought it once a while ago and it didn't work very well. Maybe all natural deodorants are like that or maybe it's just me
@tails5193 жыл бұрын
normally i’d say it’s because they’re a living wage company who makes sure everyone along their supply chain gets a living wage but native as far as i’m aware isn’t on record for doing that? i don’t use native, but i do use a natural deodorant and they just seem to run a little bit pricier so maybe it’s the sourcing of the ingredients? that’s my best guess but also most other natural deodorant companies are more expensive bc of living wages to their workers
@DieuwertjeSara3 жыл бұрын
It can be because they pay living wages, but also because they don't cut corners on material sourcing or both. Materials ethically sourced just cost more. Cheaper deodorant manufacturers, might, not pay fair prices and indeed cut corners that way. As far as I know the price did not go up when they started working with influencers though. I learned from it trough an sustainability focused youtuber but she mentioned it without being sponsored and I only saw her getting sponsorships with them I think years later. And it's a youtuber who I think would mention a sudden price increase

Lampshading doesn't fix shitty writing. Winking at the camera "I know this is cliche" doesn't make it any less so. Lampshading can be used to good effect in a capable writer's hands but it needs to have a point, and no, justifying ripping off American Psycho doesn't count. It's like she thought putting every expected criticism in her script meant that haha, now you can't fault me for it because I'm so self-aware!

TY for taking this one for the team lol. Definitely way more interesting and funny to watch you walk through the movie than to watch the movie itself

It's a shame-- the premise of "serial killer leasing a room to lure victims and a thief pretending to want to lease it to scope the house out" is a fantastic premise for a thriller-comedy.

Every few seconds there's something new and ridiculous about this movie's story like how can you be so shocked at Chuck Bass's character knowing how to do things he was socialized to do? Have you never interacted with your victims before? lmao

Moral of the story: if a movie directed, produced, written, and acted by the same person, it's not going to be a good movie. A good movie has a team, not a one-man band.

Financed, too - although apparently "Daddy" paid... (Mnuchin is 18 years her senior, they weren't long married when she made the film, he's big in Hollywood, and evidently it was "self"-funded. Look her up - she's tone-deaf, a liar and has come from money so would want to maintain the lifestyle to which she thinks she's entitled. She's clearly no great shakes as an actor and a terrible writer and director. So, at the risk of sounding like it's just internalised misogyny, I'm sticking with the gold-digger model here. These are not nice people).
