ME2: Recruiting The Perfect krogan; NG+ Insanity Vanguard with Slam

NG+ Insanity, level 30 Vanguard Shepard; build is shown in the end of the video.
Korlus mission, using the Claymore heavy shotgun (I have 2 shotgun upgrades and the piercing upgrade at this point) and Locust SMG; using Garrus' vicious Area Overload, Shep's Heavy Slam and Miranda's Unstable Warp to Warp bomb unchargeable enemies.

Holy shit! How is this possible? I just played this level on Insanity (not Vanguard and not the Game+ though, but it's supposed to be even easier as enemies have lower levels). I often got killed in like 0.5 second even without heavies - it was enough just to stick out of cover to shoot or release some power and there were like 3-4 guys shooting at me. It looks like shields go down with 2 or 3 enemy bullets, even when reinforced with the Barrier bonus power. 1-2 more bullets and Shep is dead.

@Asgard12345 In that fight it is crucial you Charge asap. I doubt there were any enemies with Warp though, as that mission is Blue Suns only..no Eclipse. As for Overload, Garrus' Area Overload + Renegade passive (+25% power damage) and 3 tech upgrades will strip shield from any standard (non-Elite) enemy on Insanity. I'd be really curious to see your run, as I have played this mission many times on Insanity NG+ with a Vanguard, and this run is pretty much what it looked like in all my runs.

@Asgard12345 Do you have the Shotgun Shield Piercing upgrade (unlocked after getting the second Shotgun damage upgrade)? That is the only thing that could explain your Shepard doing less damage from point blank range. As for number of enemies, if you advance past/near their spawn points quickly, fewer enemies will show up..but the difference is not great. Can you upload your run through this mission so I can see the differences? Thanks!

@Asgard12345 I usually start on highest difficulty the first time around, as it leads to longest playthrough. But if it is too hard or frustrating, I do not hesitate to lower the difficulty.

@Asgard12345 oh, must have been rockets fired by the heavy blue suns mercs..those are the blue fireballs.. I played DA:O and enjoyed it, though the combat got boring after a while for me. DA2 was not that good, I finished it once and never looked back. What about you?
