No-squad infiltrator is actually a little easier - when you cloak with squadmates, the enemy keeps moving, shooting, looking for cover, coming towards you etc. because they have targets (your uncloaked teammates.) Without a squad the enemy AI shuts off and they stand around out of cover derping like you see at 0:36, 0:48, 1:11 etc.

I've play vanguard every time , and then I decided to play infiltrator to play something different and snipe, and it was easy mode compared to vanguard on insanity lol. It's like it's already easy at the beginning, but when you get the widow it's like you're a God lol.

Says on the vanguard description that it’s a high risk high reward playtime. Never played it but it looks hard to use because you have to be constantly up on their ass

@@kevinc.cucumber3697 The higher difficulty you go, the hard it is to play it like intended for sure, but it's so fun just slamming into enemy's with a shotgun for huge damage. On lower difficulties, it's not to hard to play as at all, except in some situations where there's poor game design; enemy's just up on top of places you can't biotic charge onto, so you need to just pistol them down, mostly happened in ME1/ME2... Not sure that ever happened to me in ME3.

@@morganwilliams2863 I'd say it's much easier on ME3 though. A lot of enemies appear on ledges or the cover just messes with the charge in ME2. Enemies just seem beefier as well. But it just makes those perfect charges so good. Like you can steamroll some levels.

Awesome, awesome video and excellent showcase of how an Infiltrator should (imo) be played, using cloak aggressively and not just there to boost your sniper shots or run away.

With the Scions, the head isn't the weak spot. It's that giant sac. Plus, there is a major weak point on the back of the scion, it's like a little hose adaptor thing. Cloak and go around it to do some serious damage. Usually can kill a scion in two or three shots that way.

man i've been sleeping on the infiltrator class. I still think soldier is probably easiest for insanity run but I might have to give infiltrator a try. I can't believe I've beaten me1 three times, and me2 five times, and me3 once and I've never tried this class.

True soldier is easy class, but vanguard is the more interesting in gameplay

Soldier is easier to play and learn but if you play infliltrator or vanguard to its full potential, you will do better IMO.

@@willbrock1962 Depends on your upgrades truthfully. Soldier + Commando Adrenaline Rush + Inferno Ammo + Revenant makes the game a cakewalk. Couple it with Warp from Miranda or Thane, and another biotic squadmate with detonation potential, and Insanity just means you'll go insane of boredom.

Yes infiltrator with the right setup does insane single enemy damage ontop of its versatility with ammo types.

The thing with importing an ME2 character is that you start off with no upgrades, but you're fighting level 30 (or at least close to it) enemies right from the start. A lot of players find the Sentinel's Tech Armor to be helpful because of that. Also, power-centric classes don't seem hurt as much early on in a new game+ (probably because the lack of upgrades is balanced out by the fact that you can max out a variety of powers right off the bat).

@FFTARoxorz05 No I only used the predator because it's more useful for freezing husks. Don't have to worry about ammo so much, and if you miss you get to shoot again faster. Both Shuriken and Locust do about the same amount of base damage per clip and they unload the clip in about the same time. But Shuriken has a higher multiplier against barriers (1.5 vs 1.25), so at point blank range, it kills collector faster.

@Jdog5785 cryo ammo can freeze targets leaving them vulnerable, if u use the M-6 Carnifex Hand Cannon, the M-5 Phalanx, or the non-automatic shotguns as long as the hit damages the enemy's health, there's a 100% chance of freezing them, it also kills husks, so yeah its very useful

You know, I'm probably the only person I know who loved the assault rifle as an infiltrator. Especially since the Mattok came out, as it's basically a fast fire long range shotgun. I know I'm weird, but I just always felt that an assault rifle and sniper rifle was just a great combo while invisible. You have a good attack from whatever range you're at.

@T12uth Yeah, I used warp ammo just for the barriers. AP ammo wouldn't have any advantage over no ammo when sniping opponents with barrier, because the bonus against health applies only to shots that hit when the opponent has already lost all his protection.

Well, tbh, Horizon is really easy to solo, especially on infiltrator where all you need to do is position yourself well and headshot everything that even dares to move.

I did play through as Infiltrator first, continuing from my first ME1 playthrough (though it wasn't the same as the character in this video). I'm not sure what you mean by "and then start as a soldier" - there are four other classes besides the Infiltrator and Soldier. IIRC I played through as Vanguard next, and eventually did all the classes.

You answered my question without even knowing it haha. If I'm not mistaking you get the benefits of both classes if you complete a play through as one and start another campaign as another.. Right? It's been so long since I've played ME at all =/

No, you don't get any benefits by completing the game as a particular class. Midway through the game you can unlock an otherwise locked weapon type, but this doesn't depend on having completed the game previously. You can also get bonus powers that aren't specific to your class, but these are gained from squadmate loyalty missions.

Yes, that's precisely what I'm saying. Importing from ME1 is fine since it's just a few extra levels (and you get some extra bonuses on top of it). What you don't want is to import an ME2 Shepard and start out fighting high-level enemies with no upgrades.

@T12uth SMG is completely worthless against armor, except for the Locust which is alright thanks to its 1.25 multiplier and higher accuracy. It pays off to change weapons even when u dont have much time. The number one use of heavy pistols is obviously anti-armor; go for close range headshots for maximum damage. For classes like infiltrator and soldier who get other weapons that are effective against armor, heavy pistols could be more useful with cryo ammo.

I already Platinumed ME2 of the Legendary Edition on my PS5, but if I get around to doing a second playthrough for this game, I'm definitely picking Infiltrator. I picked Engineer for my Insanity run and god that class was so boring! I just kept spamming Combat Drone over and over again and just got so bland. I rather picking either this class or Adept.

The first true infiltrator i've seen. Sneaking behind and backstabbing your enemies, that's how infi should play, mixed up with ranged sniping while cloak is on cooldown.

First off, are you comparing this to an experience with an imported ME2 Shepard? Because that right there makes things significantly harder (since upgrades don't carry over and enemies scale to your level). If not, are you keeping up on upgrades? In addition to the sniper upgrades, I can tell he also has 2 SMG damage upgrades + the piercing upgrade. Also, are you using the correct weapons against the correct defenses?

Do you still remember how to edit the coalesced to remove squadmates? I want to bring just 1... I remember doing this years ago I just forgot what to edit. I don't like doing the save editor 1 as I need to re edit my saves every mission.

@Detiminator IMO it all depends on how you deal with husks. Shotgun is easier to put them down especially on missions like IFF and last mission where there are points they swarm you and you can't get away. Pull out your scimitar and spray em. I went for the widow however since i found that the instakills on some enemies were more helpful in some cases (i.e avoiding a harbinger control by killing the drones fast or w/e)

@DavieS993 I don't have a coalesced.ini file right now to confirm this, but I think you need to find the SquadLoadout section and remove the SFXWeapon.HeavyWeapon or something like that for your desired class.

Exactly why I went through ME2 on Insanity as an Infiltrator. I had a Widow though :). I had a real hard problem getting past the part when you're ambushed on the collector ship though XD.

You can do it also on X360. 1.Just delete/remove Kasumi & Zaeed DLC. Then use Gibbed Save Editor and check Kasumi & Zaeed acquired. 2. Before the mission , on the squad selection, screen choose Zaeed & Kasumi as your squadmates. The game will report an error , but ignore that. 3. Enjoy solo walktrough.

Played infiltrator as well, finished on Insanity. Cool char, but if you are beginner to the game I recommend to play a Soldier. I replayed the game again as one and it was a darn walk in the park.

@jonathansonn the problem i always have with shottie infiltrator is infiltrate disables shield regen... so youre really squishy still xD and outside of that initial burst, infiltrators dont have the close quarter skills that a vangaurd brings to a fight. I've seen it work, but i personally like sniper/pistol infiltrator best.

@ 6:34 - When all else fails, stuff the muzzle in his mouth. Never thought of the Infiltrator as an in-your-face class, but then I was used to NOT having a cloak/SMG in ME1, and having to stay at range while Wrex and Garrus kept 'em busy. I *am* used to my squaddies getting popped quick, so going solo seems redundant. Is the Shuriken a personal pref over the Locust at this point? Or is it just that much better at point blank? I assume the Tempest is the better choice, when available

@coldChicken Yeah I died a couple of times. Some parts took just one or two tries, but some, like the two-part fight after the Scions, were a bit more difficult to get the way I wanted... I could've finished them without dying, but it wouldn't have been good TV, so I reloaded.

Someone suggested that warp ammo is bugged, and that the 50 percent damage also works against shields. In your exp with the ammo, do you find this to be true? Thanks
