ME221 Wire-In | Zetec PnP ECU Install Guide (Supports ST170)

Here is a video showing our new ME221 based PnP ECU for the Ford Zetec Blacktop and ST170 on our in-house engine dyno. We also carry out the install of some GSXR Throttle Bodies....

You had CHT sensor there from ford, do you have values for that and have you connect it to same wire as normal ect would be?

Do any throttle bodies fit the ST170 in the focus which is transversely mounted?

i just can figure out this - can ME221 do the following on a ST170: can it control the stock fuel pump controller so its variable, by reading the stock ST170 fuel rail pressure sensor? And, can it connect to the stock ST170 dashboard?

The ECU can read the stock fuel pressure sensor, but has no provisions at the moment to do a closed loop control of the stock fuel pump.

your new harness of 2020 still doesn't use the correct temp sensor connectors for the ST170.

ALSO, CAN U PLEASE TELL ME, DO YOU HAVE TO USE A TORQUE PLATE WHEN BORING OUT A 2003 ZETEC 2.0 DOHC VIN 3 MOTOR OR IS A TORQUE PLATE ONLY NEEDED ON A 2.3????????

you do not install the MAP sensor at all? do you do barometric correction?

You can run MAP for baro correction, yes - on ITBs its not genberally used though

HI MATT!!! U SEEM 2 KNOW UR WAY ARROUND TUNNING A ZETEC BLACKTOP & I WISH MINE WAS TUNED & RUNNING BETTER THEN STOCK. I INSTALLED A POD FILTER & IT WOKE THE ZETEC UP & SOON AFTER, A KNOCKING/DEISELING SOUND WHEN UNDER LOAD ONLY! NOT WHEN ITS IN NEUTRAL JUST WHEN U APPLY TORQUE WHILE IN GEAR? WHAT DO U THINK IT IS? MAIN OR ROD BEARINGS? ITS NOT A LOUD KNOCK! ONLY HEAR IT UNDER LOAD ABOUT 2-3K RPM'S WHEN IN GEAR! IM THINKING ITS THE BEARINGS...I ONLY HAVE ROD BEARINGS RITE NOW,SHOULD I REPLACE THE MAIN BEARINGS AT THE SAME TIME AS THE ROD BEARINGS??????? THEY WORE TOGETHER SO CHANGE THEM AT THE SAME TIME? IM GOING TO USE STD SIZED BEARINGS. PLZ RESPOND BACK PLZ???
