Mea Culpa Reaction: Low expectations, it's okay. Not a TP fan, you'll hate it. It is what it is.

This is my opinion about Tyler Perry's new movie, Mea Culpa. This movie is an ode to erotic thrillers. It follows the plot points and themes but Tyler Perry will do Tyler Perry. Beautiful cinematography, overall good acting, Kelly is beautiful and talented. Trevont is sexy. But it's too busy trying to mimic erotic thriller rather than be a high-quality story or an original classic film. One-dimensional characters lacking backstory make the film cliche and cartoonish. The thriller plot and villains are unbelievable and ridiculous. Relying on the dramatics. One appealing sex scene, the rest lackluster. Overall, you have to accept Tyler has his style and not changing anytime soon and the target audience is here for the dramatics.

I watched it last night & had several takes on the film that in my opinion is worst than a tubi movie: 1.) The 2 main characters are terrible actors. 2.) There was basically no plot 3.) The sex scene is absolutely terrible [ who fantasizes about having sex in paint] 4.) So then after a terribly acted movie the finale is so out there that it's laughable [ this woman who weighs 100 lbs soaking wet beats the hell out of 2 men & leaves without a scratch]

Yep it wasn't the best and very underwhelming at times. I blame the writing for the acting because how can Trevante(who can act) and has been in an Oscar winning film be at times cringe in this film. TP. Yep a lot of unrealistic moments.

Kelly Rowland is in this film in order to draw in this movies primary demographic Destiny's Child fans & 65 year old women that worship at the church of MADEA 👩🏾‍🦳 who are the only people that enjoyed this film......The rest of us know this was a terrible movie.
