you could find or make a washer/shim between the ring and the telescope body to allow your camera to orient itself correctly, or you could jb weld the ring in the position that would allow correct camera orientaion, rather than letting your camera "sorta hang loose"

They make "camera angle adjusters" designed specifically for solving this issue (allowing you to rotate your camera to a specific angle and then lock it down in place). Sometimes you want a vertical aspect ratio, sometimes a horizontal aspect ratio, depending upon the orientation of the target. amzn.to/3JMj80J

Hi Jay Helpful video, thanks I have a Meade Etx observer with the audio star controller Hopefully a simple question you can answer for me Once I have setup and aligned the scope Then selected an object and GOTO, once it has slewed to the planet or star, will it then continue to track it? You have a new subscriber, cheers Andrew

Yes, it will definitely attempt to do so. Two hints that are not apparent from the user interface. Both the GOTO and the ENTER button have a "long press" action. The "GOTO" button, if you "long press" it will start a spiral search pattern. [This is useful if you get close to the target, but it's not in the eyepiece, so the spiral search will hopefully allow the target to show up and then you can press the button to stop once you see what you are looking for. The ENTER button if you long press it has a "sync to target" feature, so if you can see the target, but it's not in the center, you can hold enter and then after it tells you to center the target, move around with the arrows until it IS centered, and then press enter to "SYNC" the tracking to that target. [Can also be used with the finder scope if you are way off target...]
