It's true Philip, they are an amazing bit of kit, and when you have no wind you can just paddle them along with ease. they sail in such little water it is unbelievable. get your tool kit out and build one, free plans too

at times around the sailing club it looks as though it is part of the uniform Mine is a particularly stylish one - the peak has been developed in the East Anglian style - it is a bit the way you could identify where a cowboy came from by looking at the crease in his hat.

get off your ass then it took me a week - Julian built his hull in 16 hours then a bit of paint, an oppy rig and away you go free plans on the ktl website this is the boat you can sail amost anywhere, it can carry two full grown men and their gear, it rows, paddles, punts and sails and it is great for the abs
