Do you currently meal plan? What does that look like for you? 🤍

My husband and I will make a “weekly calendar” if you will, where we put down what ideas or things we’d want during the AM/Day and PM/night. We don’t stick to it like glue but just having it as a guide is so helpful; not having a plan and taking too long to figure out what to eat was what caused us to rely heavily on take out 🤷♀️ Once we have our filled out “calendar” for the week, we go shopping for what we need, prep veggies when we get home, and use it all up that week!

I currently use Hello Fresh for meal planning. I get 3 meals a week (2 servings) which lasts me 6 days so I only really need to plan for one day a week. It saves me time, as a student, having to go to the supermarket and carry back all my food. It has also allowed me to eat a variety of different recipes and I no longer eat the same few meals on rotation

I go to the store twice a week, and every time before I go I divide on 3 or 4 meals that included most of my leftovers.

I meal plan over the weekend and complete an order online for Walmart with a supplemental list for our local grocery store of things I don't want to get at Walmart (I don't get meat at Walmart and I usually like to pick out my own veggies). I pickup usually on Monday at Walmart and then go to the grocery store after for the remaining items. Then we are set for the week!

I currently meal plan one week at a time, except for times when I'm gonna be busier, I sometimes do it for 2 weeks or more, so I can go shopping less. I normally stock up on meats when I can get it on sale, and then I'll plan meals based on what I have available in my freezer.

I do things a little bit backwards, I buy a lot of our staples in bulk from azure, then I go to the grocery store once a month to fill in the gaps. I basically use the same ingredients every week just in deferent ways and we don't really do snack foods so I don't have to worry about that. Then each week I just meal plan what I feel like making that week. We almost always have some kind of soup or chili on Sunday for lunch, so on Wednesday I will start the bone broth in my slow cooker, if our soup has beans in it I start soaking them on Friday morning and cook them Saturday morning, then on Sunday all I have to do is throw everything in the pot and we have soup. We will eat leftover soup later in the week, we usually get 2-4 meals depending on what kind of soup I make. I have a whole list of other meals we rotate through but it seems like my entire meal plan centers around our Sunday soup.

I do a weekly meal plan as well! Very much the same as yours :) one thing we do differently is purchasing bulk meat from local sources and storing it in a deep freezer! I also often bulk buy pantry staples that we use often that won’t go bad over time, like rice or oats :)

I meal plan for week and shop once for the week. I also use my journal make a list for each day of the month and if I think of meal I want in the near future or my so mentions a meal he wants I write it down for the next day that it makes sense to have that meal for that month. When the next week comes, I often already have a meal plan planned out and just have to shop online.

I get home from work at 6pm during the week. Meal planning is critical to my operation. Takes the hassle out of trying to figure out what to eat every day, and you can plan to defrost the meats you need without doing it last minute.

Going to start planning ahead. One week at a time seems good for me also. I will be following a new way of eating so I am being encouraged to use recipes included. Also it stresses eating at home and using as little processed food as possible. I already eat at home most of time but I am way too heavy for my health. I got a big blank monthly calendar that I am going to use. Thanks for your motivation. I may have covid now. In Ontario you are to assume you have it without getting tested if you are not sick enough to be in hospital or don’t have to be tested for work. They gave free test at home kits awhile back but I did not get any. Not very sick at present time. I will be staying home for at least five days. Should have plenty of time to meal plan.

Beneficial in so many ways just as you pointed out. To enjoy more verities of healthy foods by also saving money and time, this is the best option.

We do meal plan, but we focus more on the ingredients we already have to make our meals rather than recipes we just choose to eat. Our meals are set by whatever is leftover in our fridge/freezer/pantry and we build off that.
