Great advice!! I agree, they never taste nearly as fresh when frozen after blended. Just a friendly tip- when using turmeric it's best to add a bit of coconut oil and a tiny dash of black pepper so our bodies can take up the curcumin. Cheers!

I tried the Blueberry Flax Fiber Smoothie today and it was amazing! The only thing I would add is about two tablespoons of Greek yogurt to add more protein and creaminess! I can’t wait to try the others!

@@isaacherrera1427 I would drink them as a meal replacement for breakfast, especially if you're trying to lose weight. If you're trying to maintain your weight & incorporating these for health purposes, then you can drink them as a meal replacement or as a snack between meals.

I make them for my mom but she likes to blend them then put the cups in the freezer. They look so gross to me when they come out & thaw- the green especially is now just brown and yucky looking. Gonna try to talk her into doing it a bit differently. Wish me luck, because talking an 87 year old with dementia into ANYTHING is like trying to get a toy away from a toddler at bedtime. 😅

I just tried this method. Only issue I have is the powders stick to the bags and make it just a little inconvenient to clean out. I’ve heard of freezing those types of ingredients in water in a ice tray. Wonder if there’s a better way.

You can probably substitute berries for another fruit like mango or pineapple. As for the spinach or green, I would try maybe some broccoli or cucumber. Most fruits or veggies should substitute easily. And if the taste is lacking you can try to kick it up with the vanilla protein powder, stevia, raw honey, or even almond butter. I recommend experimenting with very small batches and getting the taste right before you try to make a full smoothie.

Are these smoothies meant to be breakfast or lunch meals? or snacks? I am working on planning my meals for next week. I was planning on doing the chia puddings but think it would be good to mix it up with some smoothies or maybe do all smoothies the following week. I would also love to know what size Mason jars you use for the smoothies and chia puddings. TIA! 🥰 p.s. Tysm! Glad my videos are helpful to you!💕 You can drink the smoothies for breakfast or lunch. They do contain enough calories to be a meal replacement. If you’re super active and burn a bunch of calories throughout the day (I.e. an athlete), then they can be consumed as a snack. The mason jars are pint size. But you can also use quart size for the smoothies depending on how much liquid you add.

I prepared some of the turmeric smoothie packs but got worried it would stain my vitamix after peeling the fresh root and staining my skin and peeler. Do you have any problems with this or suggestions for cleaning?

You can always wait and add the turmeric when you get ready to blend the smoothie. With such a small amount, it doesn't stain my blender or reusable ziplock bags. But, if it stains yours, you can always soak the blender with 2 parts hot water and 1 part vinegar overnight and it usually removes any stains.

You can use whatever liquid you like.. I prefer unsweetened almond milk, water, or coconut milk. But, coconut water, oat milk, rice milk, whole milk, etc. will all work fine. Many times, I’ll just use water and ice for my smoothies.
