Thanks Colleen, after 14 months total neglect it's taking a while to get it back to rights. As for the tie, it's a momento from an earlier life. My late wife and I travelled the world as Circus Artistes for 17 years until Arthritis put paid to that when I was 30. (just short of 50 years ago).

My mum in Scotland used to send me out for turnips, they are rutabagas here in Ohio but at home in Scotland like I said they were turnips but the white small ones were known as NEW turnips!! Live your show Mr. Paul!

Lovely meals as usual Mr Paul. I'm surprised you having a jumper on in southern Spain. Its very hot here in the UK today we are expecting thunder storms which may alleviate the heat some what. Lovely to see your dog Sue and you are such a softy tucking her in. I brought back two dogs from Spain, just the 1 now but its therapeutic to be able to give them a good life. Your garden brought back nice memories too. Hope all is well.

Your meal of Pork and Apple Rissoles has to be my favourite! Now that our weather isn’t so hot and humid I’ll be making pork burgers on the barbecue. Love your garden and house, and you’re such a kind person to help rescue the dogs and give them a loving home. God Bless! 😊

I must say, british traditional food is very similar to Scandinavian. Especially Norwegian. Often identical. But we don't bake our stews into pies as you do.

Oh, i have another question you may be able to help me with. When i make and cook pies and pasties the bottom if the pastry is often uncooked. Any idea why that is? I'm cooking in. Beko eye level gas cooker, and i've tried varying the oven temperature. Thanks, stay well.

Hi Paul thanks for your question, You didn't say what type of containers you're baking in (Meta, Ceramic, Glass, Silicone.) However, the best way to avoid this problem is to use a solid metal oven shelf and pre heat the ove to your selected temp. so when you put you pie, etc in there is instant heat to the base of your pie tin. @@MrPaulsPantry Thanks for your reply. When cooking pasties they aren't in a container but i put them on a baking tray. And the pies are made in simple tinfoil pie dishes, you know the ones you sometimes buy them in. I think preheating my oven might be the issue so i'll give that a go. Thanks again.
