Scottish meat and vegetables are by far the BEST quality as far as I'm concerned. They also do the best chippy and breakfasts. My mother was Scottish and this channel makes me smile and be proud 👏

Happy belated Cheryl! Hope you had a lovely night with hubby. Not been to the Waterside yet, but frequented Gailes & Old Loans Inn before covid. Simpsinns have a great wee menu, love the food! Room looked nice, bet the view from the hotel would be gorgeous in summer! I live across from Barassie beach and love watching the wind & kite surfers and looking over to Arran 🥰 We’re so lucky to live where we do and see the island from the different perspectives of our local towns. My son wants to move to Arran so he can look out the other side to the horizon without anything in the way 😂 one day, he’ll appreciate our view! Thanks again for all your wee recipes! Always handy when looking for inspiration! 🫶🏻 x

Happy belated birthday!! 🎂 Lovely meals for the week! Hotel and view are gorgeous. My husband had to go to Michigan, 9 hours from us, and they have an authentic Scottish bakery/butcher. I had him bring home Lorne sausage, Scotch pies, fern cakes, Aberdeen butteries,, and hot cross buns!!! I can taste them before I make then on my own. I was so excited!

Happy belated birthday, Cheryl! When I visited England and had Sticky Toffee Pudding for the first time, I loved it so much that if it was on the menu, I HAD to have it after dinner. it didn't matter how full I was, I absolutely could NOT resist it. I sometimes make it at home. Unfortunately, we have no frozen imitations here in the States. The last time we were in Scotland and stayed in a self-catering accommodation, we found it frozen at the co-op which was a decent substitute when we were cooking for ourselves.
