Meals Ready To Eat (MREs) for Puerto Rico After Hurricane Maria

When I was in Puerto Rico two months ago MRE's were being distributed all over the island. Here I demonstrate what's inside one MRE and how to heat it up.

Those are sooooo good! A full meal! They are STILL giving them out. I have had more MRE meals in the past three months than in the 4 yrs I was married to a soilder!😂🤣

Thank you for the demonstration you have provided. When I was in Puerto Rico for a month in Rio Grande I was wondering how I would warm up the meal. So what I did was I warmed it in a skillet on my gas stove. Now I know when I return back for a month of stay. again. And until this day my town still has no light or power. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

The gas stove would work just fine. Some people only have electrical stoves which became useless when power was gone. Yes, all towns have dark areas with no power. San Sebastian became the first municipality to power its town 100%. Hope you get power in Rio Grande before you return. Saludos.

Saludos Jim. Yo vivi en Chipre por 5 meses en el 2003. En la base aerea de Akrotiri. Como miembro del US Navy yo trabajaba junto a miembros de la Fuerza Aerea de los Estados Unidos y miembros de la Fuerza Aerea del Reino Unido. It's a British base.

Looks better than C rations, though the C rats had a pack of Philip Morris or Chesterfields:)

I've heard of C rations. But these new MREs are really good. Especially the heater, it can warm up any meal in minutes. Have had many MREs in the past while on active duty and they were all decent. There also seem to be many new types meals available.
