I’ve read somewhere that the resin that resides inside the trichome heads, the liquid inside ferments into the substance we all love. It’s not he plant producing the love goo, it changes on its own inside of every single resin gland

I like sundews because you can see trichomes easily. Always wondered how many terps come from environment and get stuck on trichomes. Like pine pollen. To get sage and sour to taste right it needs to be around pine pollen. Grow in a corn field and see how much corn pollen is stuck on the buds. I realized what I grew around made a difference in taste and even color. That burning bush sure does seem to produce great colors in chocolope. Wondered why my skunk didn't seem as strong away from the skunk cabbage. If you can smell it in the air, It can be stuck to the trichromes effecting taste. The blue dream taste awesome when grown in lake air. The smell of your soil can effect taste too. Those sweet smelling swamps grow a sweeter skunk. If you can make capillary break so as not to drown your plants. Usually get smaller seed calyx and shorter trichomes. Plants exposed to extreme heat and dryness make bigger seed calyx. Because seed needs more moisture in those conditions. They also seem to have longer trichomes. I keep a grow log. I write as much down as possible even stuff I don't think matters. How else do you explain same clones same soil with different taste and terp profiles. Trichomes catching pieces of what your are smelling effect taste.

Companion gardening, different than cover crop but can be used kinda same. I supplement by growing saffron, sage, basil, dill, lavender, coriander, etc right by my cannabis. They all talk to each other not only by rhizosphere but by air and cross pollination of terpene aromatics etc it all gets taken up in the air and utilized. Big believer in this, some are making and explaining the science behind it.

It's quite amazing how far Ganja knowledge has come 30 years ago when all the factors were in place i grew a few by trial & error as well as knowledge passed on to me from others, The usual harvest triggers were kind of logical but as this was all outdoors & unable to be tended to every day results were variable however normally if the water leaves on the top third of the plant were yellowing that was a major sign that it was at its best & usually it was spot on but when more Indica dominant strains came into fashion most of the techniques changed as well as people's preference for indoor which like everywhere else with electricity has taken off in New Zealand.

Qs: when cultivating at the peak stage from a particular strain (flower), will the flower continue to mature and then degrade after cultivation and how best is this addressed? Or, is this part of the timing of cultivation? Does this question make sense? I am a novice grower and read the cannabis Bible a monks others and wonder if I’m cultivating too soon.

doesn't cbg turn into thc, cbd and all the other cannabinoids? and not "interact" with them?
@dertythegrower3 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the environment. The cut CBG White is now grown in massive fields as hemp in Oregon (hemptownusa in South Oregon), and as Ive talked about for years with subcool, it is known to shrink tumors legit in the library of medicine. The cbg white cut is very low in thc, and 15 cbg roughly, with very minimal thc cbd or thcv.

What's the best strain for a first time grower? Also, is indoor or outdoor easier? I'm guessing outdoor, if you have the right space, but I don't know. I just want to simplify things for the first time.
@adamb40933 жыл бұрын
Indoor way easy and faster outdoor lots or curveballs but it can be done with good sun and weather
@annunacky44633 жыл бұрын
White widow is easy, also pineapple chunk Barney’s farm I think…indoor is easier to hide and control weather. May need an AC window unit if your down south. If it’s hot, grow start in Sept and harvest late Dec or early Jan. Use bag potting soil and garden dirt, it’s pretty good. Use Fox farms ferts and should work. If you ever see early yellow tips or leaf curling, reverse what you just did. Make sense? Also flush pots with two rinses if you suspect nutrient overload or salt buildup. It won’t hurt a thing. Get female seeds only.

@@Gcanno Depends on whether for smoke or concentrate for one thing. Everyone has been "brainwashed" into bag appeal and Instagram hype for maximum sales. Doesn't necessarily mean it's the best. This is coming from someone who has dabbled in this for well over 40 years. Longer than a lot of you are old. I remember the very first real Skunks that came to this country. I guess it all depends on personal opinion, doesn't it. My friends are screaming for the old tastes and smells from yester year. Who cares if you have to take a few more hits. I personally enjoy smoking a good joint with plenty of a few Sesquiterpenes and getting a good, rich flavor. I'm not trying to taste 47 tiny amounts of some.
