I've been hearing a lot of positive buzz for Renee Rapp's performance as Regina George on Broadway so it'd be interesting to see how it turns out in the movie as the movie is going to be my first time seeing her interpretation, it should be a lot of fun. I do not understand the communication strategy behind this movie. Why are they doing everything they can to hide that it's an adaptation of the Broadway musical ? Do they expect people how are not musical lovers to go see by mistake thinking it's a remake, and somehow be so surprised by it that they'll love it and tell all their friend ? Musicals haven't been performing well at the box office lately. West side story, in the heights, the color purple are all award winning and good reviews. But all bombed at the box office
