@@t5.0ny LMAO. Not even close. And I owned an Ingot Silver 2011 GT Base A6. I had Dr. Gas O/R X-Pipe, Borla resonators and GT500 mufflers. It sounded good but not 4.6 2/3/4-valve good. The 392 mopars and LT1 Camaros sound much better than the Coyote.

I mean a car like this cammed with fbo can easily get north if 350 rwhp which for a 281 cube engine from the mid 2000s isn't really that bad they get more flack than they deserve. People make 500+ to the tires fairly reliable with the right setup and tune and with upgraded bottom end sky's the limit. The coyote is just so good it makes the 3v look like it's bad when in reality they're not that bad. A fbo cammed one can be a high 11 second car with the right setup in good air.

Get a cam. I had a ‘11 5.0 with borla atak that sounded great, different tone than this but a cam on a 5.0 would make it sound so much more aggressive.

I put BBK ceramic coated shorties on my 06' 4.6. It did help some. I regret not putting long tubes on it though. Eventually I will replace them with long tubes.

A fbo cammed 3v can be a high 11 second car with the right setup in good air. How fast is an all motor 281 cubic inch motor supposed to be lol. They can easily pull over 350 rwhp in this setup. I think the 3v gets too hard a time. Nobody says this about the pushrod cars they put out similar power with a solid heads cam intake setup on an old 302 and that is with more cubic inches. The 5.3 ls motors cam only won't see much more than this imo and that is a pretty decent cubic inch advantage. I'm not sure what it is about the 3v that generates so little respect I guess it is because the coyote was such a big jump in performance it made the 3v look bad and worse than it actually is.

@@midnight347 Exactly, once the Coyote came out, the 3V stopped being worth it. For the money you'd blow trying to improve an early S197, you could just buy a facelift that will be better in every measurable way, not just under the hood.
