THE REASON EVERYONE HATES NICKLEBACK: Back when Nickleback was in their prime their music was literally everywhere just like how the radio destroys some of your favorite songs. Not only was it constantly playing everywhere but other bands started following Nicklebacks sound annoying a lot of people because it was so repetitive. They also got compared to some of the bands we look at as Legends nowadays and not everyone enjoyed that. I believe everyone hates on Nickleback now to be "cool" and be like everyone else or they really just dislike their music. I personally really enjoy their music although I havnt heard any new songs of them im always willing to listen to the old ones. Edit: Notice some people don't appreciate the "cool" part of my statements and saying that it's not true that people do that... There are plenty of people who think things just to be "cool" to fit in with their friends and hell, even random people. You're trying to tell me that my statement isnt true when literally everyone does certain things to fit in.

It actually goes even before that. Roadrunner Records was a notorious metal record label. So when they signed Nickleback, people thought that we're going to be as heavy as say Slipknot. So when they weren't they started getting hated on by the early metal community due to their radio friendly music.
