I met Adam in a Fat Bastard burrito. They were super busy, he waited in line like a normal customer. Then after several minutes of everyone almost awkwardly staring at him. He just announced to everyone "what's 1 question you always wanted to know about Hollywood." Then proceeded to spend the next 10 minutes answering questions and just basically entertaining everyone. Thanked us for being fans, then just left like it was all nothing.

I don't get why Jerry Seinfeld gets so much flack for rejecting Kesha wanting to hug him. She asked but also physically advanced on him, and he, being the owner of his body, said NO. Had this been a role reversal, everyone would've championed the woman for saying no. Seinfeld is also quite satirical, and a lot of people don't seem to understand satire. And btw, paparazzi don't deserve respect because of the way they stalk, harass and threaten people.

@MJ-mi9qc Жыл бұрын
@@wubbalubbadubdub5867 How do you know this? You'd have to literally have a personal relationship with him to say that him being nice to fans is a facade. I feel like him not wanting to hug Kesha is totally within his rights, some people aren't huggers. He's a bit mean ofc, but that's also kind of his thing. On Seinfeld he is literally just playing himself, that's kind of his entire bit. He's not a bad guy, but he's not a super nice guy. I think there's a difference between being kind and understanding and being polite. He can be rude and snarky, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't go out of his way to help a friend or be there for someone in need. The dude does a ton of charity work with his wife. I think it's a stretch to say that he's a bad dude just because he's mean. Some people just aren't nice, they're dry and sarcastic, but that doesn't discredit the good things he does do. It gives you a reason not to like the person of course, but doesn't make that person objectively bad like some of the other examples here.
@skepticbb93 Жыл бұрын
It's hard to judge a person "in general" because there will always be an exception to their pattern of behavior. For instance, a good friend of mine had the opportunity to go to the Cannes Film Festival years ago. He was at one of the event's bars talking with other documentary filmmakers about how if he could just find the money he would be able to finish his first film. Somebody must have overheard because that night he got a knock at his door. It was Harvey Weinstein's personal assistant with a check for $10,000 - no strings attached. Apparently Weinstein just liked the concept of my friend's film and wanted help get it made.

I saw Adam Sandler live this year in Portland, and his attitude was very humble and kind, acted and talked about him getting old. He also expressed how he was depressed in a joking manner early in the set, but as the show went on, the jokes and acts that he did really showed how depressed he really is BECAUSE he feels he is getting older. From joking about his grown children's friends to singing a 10 minute tribute to Chris Farley, i feel the whole performance seemed like a tribute to his entire life, like he was saying goodbye to the fans.. I just hope he is happy and remembers that he is loved by more people than he could imagine

We got off the court to make room for him and he asked us to come back and play against him. At the time, my mom and I played competitively in our area, and when he realized we were going a little easy on him, he told us to stop giving him the celeb treatment. Well long story short, we whooped his ass and as a thank you for the game, he bought us dinner and drinks, then invited us to come by the set the next day while he filmed. The one story I know of Jerry Seinfeld was when he was doing a comedy show in my town. His opening act was a local magician who did a pretty killer job and mixed in some good jokes with the magic, really got the crowd going. When Jerry took the stage, his first five minutes was just ragging on magicians, saying they're creepy, terrible people, just mean stuff. Around half the audience got up and left during this tirade, and a decent chunk continued to leave during the show which he ended early. Through friends, we heard he went backstage and asked the magician what happened. The magician explained he had told his family he was opening for Jerry Seinfeld and they were so excited they bought a bunch of tickets and brought their friends and families too. Jerry yelled at the magician for not telling him how many people his opening act knew were there instead of giving any sort of apology or just acknowledging that ripping on your opening act is just a shit way to conduct yourself, especially when they do a great job and help your show nearly sell out.

I met Chris Benoit once. It was a boat show in Atlanta and he arrived over an hour late due to traffic for his 2 hr time slot. His manager kept saying that they didn't have much time and just get an autograph and go. Chris turned to his manager and said "shut up, it's not their fault we're late. Anyone who wants an autograph can have one." He also wrote personal messages on them if you asked. Seemed like a real genuine guy, it was a shame what happened 6 months later.

I’ve only ever met one celeb: Bryan Cranston. He showed up to an all hands meeting for my school district as a surprise and a favor to his sister who’s in leadership there. There was no fanfare and I haven’t found a single article about it, he read a passage out of his book. Afterwards he signed stuff (none of us knew he was coming, so he just signed our programs) and took pictures. I got a regular picture and then took a selfie, and he said “you kids and your selfies” in an annoyed dad voice. From that interaction, I’d say he’s alright.

The bar lady who was serving me told me to visit the members lounge to get my drink as they were having issues with the pump. While I was waiting for my drink, there was a guy with long hair and a beard, as soon I heard the person speak, I turned my head to meet Sean Bean. I spoke to him briefly, told him I enjoyed him in Sharpe and Goldeneye. He said thanks, shook my hand and offered to pay for my pint. If you look closely, there's more to Ellen DeGeneres's meanness. Unlike some difficult artists, like the aforementioned Mike Meyers and Chevy Chase, her career didn't flop despite her mean attitude. She was doing super well and still very respected. My guess is that Ellen knew exactly who to be kind to. Not to her audience, not to her crew, not to her fellow artists, but to the right producers.

I don't think Ellen was mean at all? I've tried looking into it, but all I get is her just wanting to be private. There's no diva moments, no shouting, no ego. @@JJokerMoreau She's a comedian, and one of the first lesbian comedians in America that was 'accepted'. She was one of the few talk show hosts as a women besides Winfrey- who was and still is a huge star in her own right. American networking is cutthroat, it's dire. If you want to be successful, you need to be 'smart'... I don't think Ellen is a mean person, and i highly doubt anyone else does. I'd assume most of the people around her we're the ones that caused issues, and Ellen pretty much had to nod to it all. She had to say yes, she had to stay private, she had to just go about it... And when people with ego's get matched by a wall of people with ego's all in front of someone who won't entertain any of the ego's in the situation, it's then on them at fault. The show certainly ended not because of her, but because everyone who created it realised they couldn't get away with being who they were anymore, and she was dropped like a fish; typically...
