I'm from Israel, a father of 2 children who are in the same age as the kidnapped (hopefully alive) children: 1 and 4 years old. As a parent you have to stay strong for your kids, and calm them down when running to shelter, or just hearing a motorbike or an ambulance that misheard as a red alert alarm. In the first few months my wife and I had to function with the fear of the terrorists that could be anywhere, even on our street; trying to work in our day jobs, trying to help the ones in need (so many), and make sure the kids are raised properly with all of this mess. I never could get myself to bed early, both fearing of the reality, trying to plan when I can shower and hope we won't need to take the kids to shelter, and also sticking to the phone, reading all the terrible news. I haven't cried a lot through this time, even though I tried. Not even with the message of this great song. But your video, your message and especially your reaction to the line "Baby, promise me you'll hold me again", that made me burst into tears. You are awesome and thank you for all of your support. You well deserve it.

I'm a father of 2 redheads, 6 and 4. there's not a day goes by that I don't look at them and think about the two babies left there. it is unbearable to cope with. I look at my 4 yo, he's the exact same age as Ariel, and he is so full of life and curiosity. I will never get over it if they won't return safe and sound. I know it's almost 6 months but it's something to cling on. and I need it. ❤️🩹 May everyone return safely to their homes. we are waiting for them.

My opinion is that Hurricane is an incredibly soul-wrenching, passionate and deeply poetic song. Eden Golan sings with sensuality in a richly velvety voice that reaches everyone's heart. She sings about the horrific and sadistic massacre on Oct. 7th and about the loss of life, love and community in a world turned upside down. A hurricane brings destruction, disorder and upside-down conditions just like the sadistic monsters of Gaza who marched in and wreaked havoc over south-western Israel. Her being is spun into a world of chaos where loved ones were ripped away; and she touches base with everyone who suffered in any way. HER HURRICANE BECOMES A HEARTICANE AND IS TIED HISTORICALLY TO THE HOLOCAUST AND ANY POGROM OF TIMES PAST. The interpretive dancing is absolutely marvelous, though Eden's pouring her whole self into the music is a notch higher.

Olive tree has significant symbolism in Canaanite Hebrew texts and in Israeli culture. Olive leaf is symbol of peace 🕊️. The upside down tree with the roots exposed symbolizes the attack in October on the Nova Peace festival celebrators. They were celebrating peace, but they received war. It started at sunrise, and that is why the sun also appears in the music video. One of the hostages that was released tattooed on her back "We will dance again" in the memory of the Nova festival victims. The dancers in the video are in memory of all those who were lost 🎗️. Thank you for doing this video and allowing us to express how we feel about it 🥺💙

Agreed. I think it also symbolizes how this Hurricane, the 7/10 attack, uprooted the tree of peace and how everything feels so upside down, confusing and detached.
@barryklarman27208 ай бұрын
Yes. And the olive tree is really really old- the uprooted olive tree upside down in the air above them is the Tree of Life ( Eitz Chaim)- the uprooted generations turned upside down by the Nova attack where so many were murdered but really all of 10/7. The spinning dancers reflect the disorientation that the events of 10/7 have created in Israelis and Jews worldwide. The video coupled with the lyrics and of course her voice are ridiculously powerful.

I have lived in Israel for 25 years and have never seen so much hatred towards Israel and indeed all Jews around the world since Israel began to actively respond to the horrific massacre of October 7th. It began to seem to me that Israel was absolutely isolated and surrounded by complete hatred. I watched your video analyzing the song Eden Golan and was literally shocked by the huge number of comments in support of Israel. And this is all thanks to your sincerity and impartiality. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your invaluable support! I am an Israeli, living abroad for over 8 years. I watched your comments and the tears did not stop. On October 7 I woke up on the other side of the world and found that someone had murdered the soul of my country, i never felt so lonely in my life. I don't need to express a political opinion in order to say that the brutal murder, rape and kidnapping of revelers at a music festival are something that should be condemned everywhere. But, unfortunately in this crazy world I found hypocritical people willing to justify such acts. Therefore, I do choose to join the rest of my Israeli brothers and sisters and say a huge thank you. I hope that the little light will win and the world will become better, I believe that thanks to people like you, this task will become less challenging. I think there are many other signs: 1. The sun(rise) that symbolizes the time the attack began at 6:30 in the morning. 2. The tree in my opinion symbolizes many things, including an olive tree which has symbolized peace. The lives that were uprooted, for us, for our relatives who were murdered, and also for the soldiers that we lost, especially the Golani unit (combat unit) that lost the largest number of fighters in the attack. 3. The dancers - the most obvious sign in the video, which symbolizes the people who were lost at the Nova party, the clip gives them an opportunity for a last dance. Even at the beginning they did dance movements that symbolize fighting. Some of the murdered literally fought for their lives, tried everything to escape. 4. The heavy breathing that symbolizes the struggle, the fear, the terror and the enmity, while they are hiding inside trees, pits and sheltering in terrible silence so that they will not be found. Thank you for the support, we are all really appreciate your love, because simply most of the world doesn’t! It feels like someone finally hears us!❤️

I watched the part with the circle around Eden, here is what it makes me feel: " every day i am loosing my mind"- the dancers move hectically, in what feels like a closing suffocating circle to me, which resonates how i personally feel. But then comes "holding on in this mysterious ride" - the dancers immediately move gently in harmony, entwined with eachother in a beautiful mandala, which immediately takes me to the amazing amazing feeling of unity and brotherhood within our nation. This empowering feeling of togetherness that was born instantaneously on October 7th within our people and our country is the cure we have been waiting for for generations. I hope it lasts long enough to guide us through also in more peaceful times.

Pedro, thank you for the unbiased and unfiltered opinion. Israelis are a peace seeking people. Like every nation we have our bad seeds but 99% are just amazing people. We wish this war to end. I believe that Eden’s song regardless of the outcome is a victory in itself. Allowing the Israeli public to cry publicly for our murdered and hostages. Gracias por todos amigo.

Thank you for this video. You don't know how much we need this hug. I love the Eurovision because it is a safe place of love, acceptance and music. Seeing people you value boycott us is heartbreaking
