Pain and suffering are different though. Avoiding pain can bring suffering but one that is in pain doesn't necessarily suffer.

What's before time : no answer How does space form : no answer What makes your body to feel as you(consciousness) : no answer Probably with 1000s of years of discussion we will be getting more closer to our answers. For now we can believe whatever Bcz our fate probably won't depend on what we believe about space/time/counsiousness.. If you want to believe God then that is also alright. I personally feel, God on earth is manmade. We can believe God but we yet don't have any clue about it. Means we are still in search of the truth God/space/time... Everything. I’ve always been curious how billions of Buddhists juggle the belief of reincarnation with how they treat animals. I understand this is a gross oversimplification, and I’m not curious of relative cruelty between the east and west. But it’s undeniable that a very large number of people believe or subscribe to the possibility of every living thing having the circulating elemental existence, while also treating regular animals differently than fancy human animals.

Before we became humans, we were animals. Just trying to survive. Let's not forget that animals also have consciousness. Otherwise, they wouldn't be afraid of death. If they didn't fear death, they wouldn't try to survive. So maybe consciousness is fear. And we humans are clouding our minds by overcomplicating things. We spend our time worrying about insignificant things rather than living our lifes to the fullest.

Isn’t the meaning of life whatever it means to you? Why do you keep framing the question as if there is one universal answer? Next time on your show. Why not reframe the question. And simply ask. What is the meaning of life FOR you? And make it individual and highly personal. I think some of your guests already do that but I think it’s time to make it clear that is what you are explicitly asking.

@Richard Horrocks I agree, partly. Although I would question the effectiveness of meditation practice if your conclusion was that we're all robots or a bunch of proteins. Attaining the mystical experience through meditation can take a very long time and never happens for some people

But it’s easy to forget that just because some guy presents himself as a well-put-together, intellectual, meditator on a KZbin interview does not actually mean his answer is meaningful or even “correct” in any way.

Christianity worships Jesus who suffered to save his believers. I don't get the reference of Christianity not being a suffering religion. Heck, don't Buddhist believe you should have no desires to avoid suffering? Mina needs to brush up on world religions...
