Koo-why like the Hawaiian island…beautiful job pulling these patterns together! I finished a sweater recently holding two fingering weight yarns together but frogged it within a week of finishing. It was so heavy it weighed 50lbs (well actually 5 lbs but it felt like 50!) I love holding mohair and fingering.

One thing I discovered with mine which might help you, depending on when you are on yours, is that the armhole depth is very large. If I had known that, I would have reduced it.

Another good scrap buster blanket is the Color Therapy blanket by Warm Stripes. It’s a free pattern where you hold 5 strands of fingering weight together. It’s a seed stitch blanket but it’s so lovely.

What a blessing! Thank you so much for taking some of your precious time to share this with us. In Feb when I broke my wrist I couldn't knit with my cast but I could crochet.. slowly. I needed a wool blanket for our bed so I took out my basket of bits and pieces, my minis and some sock yarn that I wasn't going to use and paired it with some EcoWool from Cascade yarns. I used the linen stitch to make it solid but a size 13 hook so it wouldn't be too heavy. We love it.. thank you again..
