Sometimes I can’t vibe with illmac at all. Saying he’s a devils advocate isn’t actually what he is. You have to have a solid counterargument to call yourself a devils advocate, not just indiscriminately disagree. I mean I get it in a way. Like Socrates would go around and talk to people who were strongly decided one way or the other about politics and make them prove their point and they usually couldn’t. He would say you know nothing. As I know nothing. Wisdom can only be gained through humility. But if someone who dedicated several years in a certain field finds themselves in a discussion with illmac they gonna get insanely annoyed. Cuz illmac gonna be asking uniformed questions that may resonate in his head as profound but have already been acknowledged and solved in their field. And to explain it to him would take hours or days. I learned this shit talkin to ppl leaps and bounds smarter than me or illmac. Boy needs to catch up tho. Always remember kids, conspiracies have to be rooted in facts. You can’t have a conspiracy that isn’t. Look up the definition and then resign from the flat earth club 😉

I understand you need a skeptic in every think tank and I’m sure that would be you. I understand the need of a devils advocate. Trying to poke holes in an argument to see how strong their argument actually is. But I can also see a scenario played out where you talked in this podcast saying if you’re doing that to someone and they get defensive it automatically makes you think the opposite way. And i would say you should be reproachful in that method because there are some intelligent ass ppl, like yourself, that would be offended that you’re insulting their intelligence and not paying respect for the time they put in.
