Oh man, I have this tuner and had no idea of the other features available! It clips on and tunes very well. It’s a little hard on batteries, I find. Maybe because it’s so sensitive it picks up room vibrations and takes a long time to auto-off

Hey that’s a really clever thought, I bet that’s exactly why it’s so hard on batteries. A common issue with this tuner is that everybody always forgets to turn it off, because we are human beings, I don’t think it has an auto off feature. On the flip slide, it has another cool hidden feature. They’ve designed the power circuit in such a way that the tuner will always turn on until the battery is totally depeleted, the screen just gets dimmer the less juice the battery has. That’s so useful because other tuners will simply just not turn on once the battery voltage drops below a certain point, but not this ST2, it just keeps going. Super clever engineering.

@@mearslab It has two levels of power saving, dimming the display after 5s of no sound detection, and should power down after two minutes - but it's so darn sensitive any vibration keeps it awake :)

@@spinphoto Oh man, I had no idea, that is so cool! I love clever engineering, I guess if it has to have a flaw, that ones not so bad.

It handles the low b string well.

How would this work on a stockless guitar?

Do you mean something like a Steinberger? it'd be tricky but I think it would still work okay if you attached it to the whammy bar, or possibly even the tuners on the bridge. Let me know if it works!
