Hi! Yes and it has arrived. :) We assembled with my instructor, and i jumped with her. I falling love with her. :) I think i have one useful tips for everybody: and this is a leghtharness protector. This can be proteck your gare from the grass and other dirt.

There is another way of putting on a container. Set it on a table that's butt high. Hold the container vertical step in your leg straps, Squat down a little and put your arms thru the main lift web. Then snug it down.

Please do a video about how a rig should properly fit you. How the yoke should fit across your shoulders, where the hip junction should be on you, how tight should leg straps be and how far down should they go, optimal chest strap tightness, etc. This would be helpful for trying on used custom rigs. Thanks! Also love your rig. Will likely copy some day only with red. Blue skies

This has some really great little tips. I can definitely see how vital it is to make sure you put on custom gear accordingly. Otherwise, it won’t end up feeling very… custom. I really enjoyed having the interview/demonstration section with the pro!

You are really good Catherine, love your videos. Wonder, can you lend your personal rig to someone that is the kind of the same shape as you?
@Wawet764 жыл бұрын
You could improve the way you put your rig. Look at 7:24 how you snag on the left part. To avoid that, you just have to go through with your elbow first.

@@SkydiveVibes I tried to find a video on KZbin to explain the trick and found nothing... It works with big backpack. There is a lot of video about "How to correctly wear a bagpack", but they all twisting their arm when they put the second bretelle.

Skydive Vibes we are right now. Haven’t heard any cancellations for my home dz yet. I’m scheduled for the AFFI course April 6th at Z Hills and they’ve suspended all courses until April 3rd. Mine is still a go right now, but I guess I’ll play it by ear. What about you guys?

Crazy times we are in, I just received my new custom gear and now everything is hitting the fan! Oh well, my thoughts and prayers are with the medical and scientific communities as they work hard to discover a vaccine for this new virus and to get and/or keep us well. Stay safe everyone!!

The question I have for you, is one that I get alot of heat from, and I understand why, but I don't care about their opinions.. i only care about yours my love 😍. I'm as green as they get, 5 tandem jumps. Aff starts next week but I know this sport was made for me.. kinda like knowing you want to have children or not. (I don't!) Everyone says buy a used container bc "it will get dirty" "you'll grow out of it'' "you'll want to upgrade soon" blah blah. But why not buy the container new? Sure, canopies will be used but if I can afford it, why not get this rad setup compared to buying someone else's beat up gear? It will last me years, I won't need to do any upgrades, I'll be safer and more comfortable flying.. I don't see a single downside other than spending a bit more (no kids = $$🔥🔥$$). Please tell me your thoughts or recommendations. I'll listen to your advice, bc I looove hearing you talk.
@SkydiveVibes4 жыл бұрын
Haha thanks. The fact is that first you need to start your AFF. During your course they will rent you the equipment and you'll outgrow them fast. When downsizing canopies, you also need to change your container because they are made for 1-2 sizes of canopies only. Next you don't know yet which discipline you want to get into. The containers will differ depending on your focused discipline. My advice is to start your AFF. Get your A license stabilise your canopy progression then when ready yes you can buy new first thing. ;) But keep in mind that you may downsize canopies at 50-100 and 200 jumps. ;) Does it help?
@reclaimingRAD4 жыл бұрын
@@SkydiveVibes heck yes. I spaced on the part about container size for canopies. After AFF I see renting gear as a huge waste so ask my coaches to point me in the right direction. Though you did sell me on that curv and I'm looking forward to it.

For those watching this do not put your container on cutaway side first as shown this video. You always want the ripcord (left side) to be the first side you put on in case you accidentally fire it.
