Just a note that at 2:00 there is a mistake in your text on the graphics. explanation of fractions of minutes, should read - 'each minute is divided up into 60 seconds' not "each minute is divided up into 60 minutes", cheers mate.

You can easily convert degree minute second values into decimal degrees value in Microsoft Excel instantly. The length and amount of data is not a problem at all.
