turkey and chicken are both very juicy when smoked. I like to rotisserie also. Look how juicy that white meat is. and the skin should be a nice crusty flavorful treat.

A couple suggestions. The ENTIRE turkey needs to be submerged. 5 or 10 gal bucket with a weight on top works best to keep the bird fully submerged. I have never seen a seasoned brine with veg and or citrus rine that did not need to be heated first to get the flavors to release as well as the sugars and salt to fully dissolve. Always bring those kind of brines to a boil. Then cool and use.

@meatcranium4280
@meatcranium4280 5 жыл бұрын
Loyalty Team Grilling If you are going off the temp probe on the unit... DONT!!! I found it to be very erratic. I would use a reliable secondary probe to monitor temps. Now, what I do is keep the top wide open on the #4, the adjust from the intake valve. Adjustments may be 15-20 delayed after moving to a different setting. If you go 50 degrees past your target don’t sweat it, it won’t hurt nothing, just close the intake damper down. Sometimes I will close the top a little too. I hope this helps. Can someone please tell me why add liquid smoke to a turkey you're going to smoke?
@meatcranium4280
@meatcranium4280 3 жыл бұрын
Interesting question. It adds a depth of flavor to the brine and compliments the overall taste. You don’t necessarily taste the smokiness, however it does enhance the other elements. I’m brining it this year the same way but I’m cooking it in the Charbroil Big Easy.

3 bananas, peeled and frozen. 1-11/2 cups cold milk. Cut two bananas into pieces, blend with the milk. Add the 3rd banana if not thick enough. GREAT cheap healthy banana milkshake. Options: 1/2 tsp vanilla extract (I always use it); 1-2 tbsp peanut butter; mango, 5-6 strawberries with 1/2 tsp sugar

I do a meal replacement shake in the morning, I add 2 tbs of cinnamon, 2 eggs, cold brew coffee, 2 Tbs of Honey, ice, Almond milk, and of course 2 scoops of my meal replacement powder. At night before bed I have a banana sliced up with cinnamon.
