Got it to work on the second try. Had to take my time though. This includes the echo as well. iPhone X too. The account connection dropped out twice. But your information helped me expect what could happen and prepared me. Thanks for a great job informing!!!

Don’t give up. It’s a great bit of kit. I’ve never wanted to use it on an echo or Alexa, but use mine just wi fi. It’s a great bit of kit. Very, frustrating when you have these set up issues, always software (not hard ware) related. I started off with a single pin, the original that came out. Over any distance, very small, on blue tooth it would drop out. They then introduced the Meater+ block that greatly improved it. I’m very pleased with my two set up, chef of 46 years too. PS Tip, the flat end of the probe needs to be kept squeaky clean. If you let any build up occur you will get false readings. Easy enough to get “”build up” in BBQ’s etc. After a few months, despite best efforts, did get build up. I cleaned it off with the “super finest” glass paper I could lay my hands on. Fine now. Just keep the flat end squeaky clean.

Tony Brewin Indeed - wouldn’t be without mine now, even if the setup was a grade 1 class A ball-ache... and the probes are having to be scrupulously clean where they make contact to charge, else the batteries just don’t get filled up...
