brilliant when i was young the car chassis was my favourite thing to try to master i never got to this level but it tough me all i know about how a car functions and thats why i could strip down a mini and of course led to a life time of engineering that car is fantastic love it well done

Thank you! In fact, the designer of the Mini, Sir Alec Issigonis, used Meccano to come to this car.

Really nice model and well made too. It's nice to see the actual thing rather than a picture in a manual. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you. In most of the Meccano manuals you will always find something which is not shown or unclear in the text. Pictures and videos will help you out.

Great model. The inner forkpieces of the cardan drive must be aligned, otherwise the output drive is non linear.

Such iron constructors were supplied to the USSR in every store. I had more than 10 of them. Until now, some elements are somewhere in the garage. They were very popular. But, without any electrical components and gears of course.

Time to dig them up and start building again!

How did you get it to sound like that? I had a piece of plastic rubbing against the fan. Beautiful video BTW.

Hello sir, recently discovered your amazing channel. I wish to buy something like this. Could you please tell me what I should search for exactly, as it's unavailable online, and quite costly here in India. I have used Mechanix set before, but this is something different. So if you could help me here. Thanks.

where would I get those metal gears from?
@meccado4848 Жыл бұрын
The gears are all original Meccano gears. You will find them in Meccano sets (second hand) or with online dealers of Meccano spare parts. Try Google for this.

Nice! This was the first substantial model I tried to make when I came back to Meccano a few years back. Not easy! I did mine in Medium Red and Green and had to change a lot of things as I didn't have all the parts. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/rGSUd5yCgbiirsk) It looks good in nickel.

Thank you! I like the solution in the KZbin video of your link to the clutch-problem I encountered with the original. Eventually, I skipped the clutch. I think this model still has a great attraction to all ‘new’ 60 + Meccano enthousiasts, like me.
