Sooo I’ve never touched a model kit in my life, but I’ve wanted to build this thing ever since I’ve first seen it. Would it be hard for a beginner?

From personal experience, this was my first model kit, it can be difficult if you don't pay attention to the instructions but it's a good start for a beginner. It's no walk in the park but not too difficult if you pay attention. The instructions are in Japanese but if you pay close attention to the labeled numbers/letters that each individual piece is given on the instructions, you should be fine. Overall, at best, it should take you no less than 10 hours or less than that to make this depending on your time.

Just finished assembling the red model but noticed there were some extra pieces in the kit that were meant for this model and I can't even equip them. Like I have the absolute zero cannon chest piece but not that actual cannon that goes in the center and I have the Maser Blade but not the railgun pieces that I need to put them into. Why?😢 Now I gotta buy this version so I can make a hybrid build.

This is a superb kit. Love the prepainted parts and all the detail, it looks superb in the Eva-01 colour scheme. Makes sense too as both are moreso cyborgs than robot and can go berserk. Still wish this Evangelion X Godzilla collab had produced an animated short or something instead of just artwork and merchandise

I don't think they're actually scaled to 1/60, but have you checked out the MENG models? They're pretty big. Also, there is a PG Eva Unit-01
