So much fun! Thanks to the organizers and DRN for the team up!

I really enjoy the dev vs pro dynamic, it's really interesting to see people with very in-depth knowledge from different sources go against each other. :)
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Yeah! I have a sneaky feeling we might have been given a sneaky insight into things we didn't know. Suspect the win% of Missile plays into Aggro is higher than expected looking at how much value Bearlike got from them, even with some big misses along the way.
@stoneymechabellum2 ай бұрын
Bearlike and his signature assmen that he talked so much about! Gotta love the dev that stands behind his fav tech
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Made it work well! Was a fun game :D

Sick game! Seeing the devs not only play their game but playing so well that they obviously play a lot is one of the reasons I love Mechabellum and have high hopes for it. The casting was good too, you're beating yourself up but it isn't easy to cast games. Some of the other casters I watch would have ranted about men in missile towers or talked about matches from ten years ago lmao, but I eat it up anyway. Looking forward to the rest of the games.

Thanks Berry! You're too kind, I was pretty disappointed with my input and audio quality here, hopefully I can step it up. Both players played fantastically, did not expect Missiles to feature so prominently and Assault Marksmen doing so much work vs Aggro was a treat to see :D

Damn, what a crazy match. I really didn't expect this to turn out the way it did - the troll trolled and trolled himself to victory. "Proper game tactics" my ass, if someone spent so much money on missiles I'd already think they have lost but look at this
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Hahaha, it was pretty crazy! Shows you only need to win two rounds, but win them well - to win the game!

The constant self critic, haha.

Haha, thanks Bearlike. The only way to improve is to be your own worst critic! Loving today's patch, keep up the good work.

Woah... Editing DRN, just a quick note. Commentator DRN was up at like 2:30am for this match. I'd speculate he pulled back to ensure Druski has plenty of runway for his thoughts. A reciprocating mech warrior band of commentary brothers, as missiles rained down, bombarding a hail storm of lasers and flak. As Sacco brought an unwavering plethora of aggression, Bearlike answered the call with a seemingly unending supply of economy absorbing missiles repeatedly slamming into the fray. What a match! Great job on the commentary, I enjoyed the video immensely.

Thanks dude, haha can tell you're getting into the mood by waxing poetic too! Impressed you watched this one despite seeing it live on the day. Did spot a few of your comments in the chat both in game and on stream :D Editing DRN says there can be no excuses for poor performance in the quest for excellence! Though he might just enjoy giving me a hard time...

What a game! Who would have guessed that the missle strat actually worked. And I really enjoyed the cast! Don't worry about not nailing everything on your first Mechabellum Co-cast! For me, I never felt like you were off or missing something and really enjoyed the video. Four eyes will always see more then two and this way both casters can compliment each other. And with hindsight its so easy to pinpoint things you didn't like. Don't be too harsh on yourself ;)
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Haha, thanks, you'r far too kind! Wish Editing DRN would read this sometime and go easy on me ;D Nah it's all good! I'm sure there are people screaming at the monitor when I miss things so this is my slightly tongue in cheek way of incorporating that feeling as I go through and edit the videos :D Stay awesome dude!

I feel I rarely see Assault Marks but here they proved effective when levelled.

Very effective indeed! They were the key to the turn over and fight back for sure.

Sweet. I was watching Amaroq's stream and noticed Bearlike was taking names, so I was really curious to see his games.
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Yeah, Bearlike played really well here. Wasn't expecting him to brush past n_Sacco so easily! He's always been a strong player when he's not trolling with random tech choices from out of left field :D

I really enjoyed the dual commentary with Druski. It feels like the two of you play off of each very well. Hope you can colab again in the future!

love the video! (when you cocast, your softspoken-ness makes you harder to hear clearly over the other caster, you may wish to adjust your audio slightly to counter that! keep up the amazing work, I really do enjoy your content and the value you bring to the community)
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Thanks dude, yeah there was defo some lessons for me to take away from this! Was great fun though and you're far too kind, hope you're enjoying the game yourself! Patch day Friday! Hype!
@WerdnaTheRed2 ай бұрын
Oh wow, that was a pretty clean turnaround on Bearlike's part. With all the missile buys (some of which did nearly nothing!), loose formation, and the adoption of the big single targets I was expecting the assaultmen to fall off on the damage. Was the degen beam just that much of a swing, grouping crawlers back up? Or was it something else that happened which I missed or underattributed? I think you did a good job with the live casting of a game that wasn't you playing. A good balance of talking over the actual events, hypotheticals, and general information, while also keeping a good pace with Drewski
@Drone_1012 ай бұрын
Thanks dude! Yeah I think the Wraith degen combined with the unkillable Level 2 Worm tanking the front line for all those Assault Marksmen was a massive swing in the final round. Wraith Degen was the key here, guaranteed it won the Wraith vs Wraith mirror and slowed the push massively. Would've loved to do a more proper breakdown after the match but we had people waiting on us for the next game, which is part of the price running live tournaments!

Such a great game. Thought bearlike was going to lose between the missile money sink and starting from behind and was blown away by how efficiently he turned it around. I think your commentary was off becuase it wasn't you driving the game. You normally just talk through your thoughts of how you are handling rhe situations, but it is different when it's hands off and just talking. I honestly was hoping you went full narrative during the fights, but that might be just me. Super happy to see this content as well as your battles. Keep up the amazing work and stop making Editor DRN lose hair 😂

Now i know why they nerfed loose formation. But then again it adds so much value like shielded fangs

Yeah, we are heading towards all the powerful techs costing 400+ which seems a touch high. Would rather have more cheaper tech choices too, even if they're less impactful.
