Fair point, well made. In truth some units being strong is fine within reasonable limits. Some units have been been historically faaaaar too strong and warped the whole game and made it much less fun when you saw them almost every game for weeks on end. Last year we had Wraith Winter, Stormcaller Summer and this year we had an Overlord Spring. You can generally tell when certain units have gone multiple patches receiving nerf after nerf as attempts were made to bring them back in line. The game has a very delicate balance and the developers have my utmost respect for the good work they've done but there are, and have been, outliers. Part of the fun for me is discussing what we think they are, and why! Sorry if that gets old!

@@Drone_101 I have no problem with calling out an imbalance or discussing strong units, but the game isnt and will never be perfectly balanced. If you let it get to you it will be much harder to enjoy playing. Yes it is very frustrating when there is only one comp that is viable, but you can expect to see people to play strong stuff high on the ladder. They are having fun trying to win, if you want to play weaker stuff you think is fun that's fine too. There is nothing wrong with someone racing to build the most broken unit. As they introduce new units, as more people play post 1.0 and as everyone gets better we will most likely see some EXTREMELY lopsided metas in the near future. How long they last is up to the devs, but you can bet everyone at the top of the ladder will be playing the most broken and annoying units, best be prepared.

Ahhhh, also 8m/s? Must've got their speed confused with tanks and fangs or something :D Don't stress about MMR, it comes and it goes. Think some of it depends on if your preferred units are decent or weak in any given patch tbh!

I remade and hid all other names on the tourney bracket for my info graph of the tourney, hopefully that helps keep the rest of the games shrouded in mystery :D

Yeah, think the match up wasn't great for Hell00 with Sacco preferring to be very up close and personal whilst Stormcaller spam relies on holding enemies static in the midfield. He still put up a good fight though and I think he was close to turning the battle round, probably just 1 or 2 turns more and he'd have a very strong defence built out.

Yeah a tad more chaff might've helped keep the badgers alive for chaff clear duties, which would've in turn unlocked the Melters sooner, looked like he was getting back into the game before it ended which is partly why I was disappointed it ended when it did. Think we could've had a few more epic rounds from this one! It's never easy though holding Sacco's aggro at bay can be a herculean task.

Thanks dude! Yeah I think the Wraith degen combined with the unkillable Level 2 Worm tanking the front line for all those Assault Marksmen was a massive swing in the final round. Wraith Degen was the key here, guaranteed it won the Wraith vs Wraith mirror and slowed the push massively. Would've loved to do a more proper breakdown after the match but we had people waiting on us for the next game, which is part of the price running live tournaments!

Hahaha, it was pretty crazy! Shows you only need to win two rounds, but win them well - to win the game!

Yeah! I have a sneaky feeling we might have been given a sneaky insight into things we didn't know. Suspect the win% of Missile plays into Aggro is higher than expected looking at how much value Bearlike got from them, even with some big misses along the way.
