Little known fact: a new paper filter flows better than a dirty K&N. The difference is: you're can clean/reuse K&N's to regain the additional flow. Even if you don't need the added air, why throw an expensive, reusable filter away?

You could simply have done the fuel purge rather than trying to start it dry. Oh, and the second oil filter also needs changing 😊

Ohhhhh mateeee hearing that thing trying to start made me cringe. Good way to burn out the starter… done my fuel filter recently, on the TD5s like yours and mine you turn to ignition but press the accelerator pedal 5 times and it purged the lines on its own. I imagine you didn’t do any damage to the starter, but it certainly didn’t do it any good trying to start and starting dry…

Do you know what wheel arches are fitted to the truck ? Are they painted black or is that how they came ?

They are original arches (I sourced them from 4 different defenders on ebay to get straight ones) then I sprayed them gloss black 👌🏻

I think if you pump the accelerator like 5 times it'll prime the fuel lines with the ignition on after you change the filter I'm not 100% sure I've got a 200tdi 😂

Turn the ignition second detent, press the throttle five times, listen to the fuel pump, wait until the check engine light stops flashing. Switch off and switch on. No need for the extended cranking

K&N Filter is the best on the market. You need a K&N cleaning kit, not a bei standard air filter, that is a regress. Millers Oil would be the better qualität thai Shell.

Only just watched this video and i was staying to cringe but after reading the comments i see the Landover community knows.. 5 times press accelerator to prime fuel after filter change, change centrifugal (2nd) oil filter, grease UJs and sliding joint on props and keep fast flow performance air filter. Did i miss anything? I assume you have one shot grease in swivels? Oh top up jetwash :-) Nice truck

Im surprised its still got the CAT and centre box fitted to the exhaust, being that its been tuned. id buy a ticket but as im in Ireland the import charges for this would be thousands so no point, but having said that i already have a good example of my own so im good .🤣
