I think I have a mistake in your calculations. At 5:20, when you cross multiply the force input doesn't just go away, it'll still unknown. So it would have been 24/6fin and then once you do that you would get a force input of 4, not 6! Even if you didn't cross multiply and figured it out like an equation you would have gotten 4- not 6. Hope this is helpful.
@karmafate61255 жыл бұрын
Yeah me too
@nightakoz76284 жыл бұрын
He just simplified it like this: 24=6Fin Fin=6/24 Fin=4 So when you reverse it its factor (-,+x or /) reverses so yeah he is right but didn't make it clear enjoy ta!
@stufzz11173 ай бұрын
6 wasn't the answer As you notice He wrote 6Fin, he only simplified it he didn't solve it

How do we calculate the mechanical advantage if one of the input or output forces is applied with an angle that's not a right angle???
@maricog6584 жыл бұрын
You would have to break it up into x and y components if I’m understanding your question correctly
@talarummani47184 жыл бұрын
@@maricog658 Yeah that was my initial thought but then I checked a reference book and the definition of MA is (the magnitude of the load fore over the MAGNITUDE of the applied force) in the case of levers. Since it's saying the "magnitude" we cannot break it into its components.
