Invest in a press, oil, and lots of grease. Fill the gearbox with oil, not a little grease. FILL the bearings with lots of grease and add a grease zirk so you can continue to add grease. Invest in a torque wrench, a paint booth for both primer and paint.

AND don't beat your bearings while installing them like a 2 year old with a new drum set.

As it is used on agriculture products you don’t want oil or grease on them. Plus they don’t go very fast. As for hitting the bearings, they are quite heavy duty ones so alternating hitting inner and outer races would very unlikely cause any distortions. Quite often I’ve driven bearings in that way. Using a brass drift and judicious hitting. It’s nice to use a press but quite often it’s not feasible.
