I do mudding/taping for a living and my buddy was restoring his car one time and asked me to do the bondo work. Never done it before in my life and was like wtf are you asking me. But turns out the skill is transferable and he was blown away by how well I did all the skin coats on his truck 😅

Factos, very hard

The mixing process could have been better/longer/flat surface. That way you don't end up with pin holes/lose filler when you blow compressed air because your hardner hasn't mixed well before the priming process.

It is normal for you to putty on rough sanded layers of old paint. Expect defects in the form of scratches and contours after drying
@poontang8035Ай бұрын
No it’s not normal, it should’ve been sanded down smooth.
@TheChanDave13 сағат бұрын
@@poontang8035agreed but it’s not the body filler that would shrink back. Especially from the coarse scratches; it would be the primer shrinking back. Causing repair mapping

Great idea using a long squeegee you should have used a larger mixing area. I have been doing this since 1992. The long squeegee is genius. I hope you keep innovating because you are young enough to change the undesirable method and start mixing it right. But I will be using that long squeegee trick.

@@redartisanwolf6716 - the metal sheet/blade. I use a spline now for everything bigger than a spreader width: saves loads of product, saves loads of sanding.

Makes it so hardener. Thats wbat she said All jokes aside. You answered my question and concern about if a large ath could be filled at once. Product amount to cover area + purposeful filling locations + right size tool for final spread. Bro you make it seem easy in my head
