Please make a correction at 31:16, the max shear stress formula written at the center of White board will not have (1/2) fraction outside. Sincere apologies. That's the downside of teaching infront of a camera, it cannot intervene and make the necessary correction.

superb teaching style..i understood all the concepts and derivation of formula for determining stresses in an oblique section by analytical method....u are the best...other teachers teach and if there is mistake they dont correct it ..that means they themselves dont watch their videos ...you correct your mistakes ...and this dedication of yours is much appreciable...keep us inspiring sir...thank you

Sir in case 4 if the shear stress is not applied then the tangential stress would be negative as it would rotate clockwise according to mohr circle but if I use this same equation I wouldn't get a negative value of tangential stress.. How is it possible sir?

To be frank,, it's a complete lecture for those who are very much into solving the problems and not getting much involved in the actual concept......the concept which u tried to explain can be interpreted from just looking into book derivatives...it's that simple... The thing is, u didn't try to explain exactly all thoz terminologies out Ter like principle planes, principle stresses and theres lot of angles associated with the very concept of getting the direction of the actual principle plane that u should have convered thru some good examples. Watevr...!!!!!!
