The Mechanicus intrigues me. No longer are its people burdened by things like disease and failing organs. When I had a serious problem with gastro last year, I began to really like the idea of augmentation. I played games like Deus Ex (HR and MD) and Cyberpunk 2077. I have a pacemaker, so it could be argued that I've already taken my first step. 😊

at least by Rimworld logic, a pacemaker is a prosthetic, not a bionic. we've got to get you a proper plasteel one. throw in a power claw and a detoxifier kidney and you're set.

The pacemaker doesn't count as an augmentation, tho. It helps your heart to function as it's supposed to, it doesn't give your body other extraordinary capabilities.
