Man that last mission was always a pain the ass on the hardest difficulty. It's pretty cool to see people still play and care about this 20 year old game. I just dropped a video on this game like 3 days ago too. I'll have to try out this emulator at one point.

God I remember playing this game so much as a kid, Loved Madcat, and when I unlocked Ragnarok it was the first time I ever felt op in a game before. This game is one of the main reasons why I love the Mech genre of video games so much

TBH the original Xbox had an x86 processor in it. It ran on a 733mhz Pentium III processor, so most games that were ported from Xbox to PC back then ran flawlessly and needed only minor tweaks. Not that surprising tbh.

CXBX-R generally isn't as compatible or functional for most games as Xemu, but the few games that do work properly on CXBX-R work exceptionally-well thanks to the uncapped framerate and nonexistant loading times.

Yeah I loved how the mechs blew up and the look of the mechs...the atlas was so badass back in the day.

I played this when I was really young, and I enjoyed both it and lone wolf but I never understood anything about the universe. I always thought it was it’s own thing. When mechwarrior 5 came out I rediscovered the Battletech universe and dived headfirst in as an adult in college. It’s been really cool to watch this and Go back but actually understand the time period, the mechs and vehicles and even the factions. Btw go Clan Star Adder!

I absolutely ADORED seeing Adept Strader just get annihilated. I remember that when I was younger and played this for the first time, that fight took me a few tries even on the normal difficulty using the same 'Mech. Really makes me want to play this again and see how I fare on the hardest difficulty.

This is how you play any mechwarrior game. Not like this other garbage playthroughs that only spam one weapon. Once I saw that active weapon cycling, I knew I was in for a good playthrough. :D That and the aim was good. :D

Shooting the soldiers on foot was hilarious. I remember pvp with my friends splitscreen and I would run around as a soldier.

That would of been MechAssault 2. In MechAssault 1 you can't leave your mech.

Been having that problem too, but oddly enough, after I went and installed a bunch of mods that issue has yet to pop up again. No idea if it's because of the mods, the fact the mods may or may not have changed my edition of ME to platinum, or the fact I installed all of the DLC plus the completely necessary update I only really did just cause.
