What is brilliant in Mechina composition is the balance of chord progressions with grooves. A lot of groovy songs are just intense rhythms but these guys actually go up and down a scale like how I've studied in music theory.

There's plenty of symphonic metal bands but the ones I know of just have their rhythms in straight sixteenths or triplets. The way Mechina takes an intense rhythm and make it more in depth with the keyboards I just don't find that a lot.

It does sound like the guitar lines are a little low in the mix. The mix is rather high on the cymbals, vocals, and synths. Whenever the guitars can be heard, they're belting out some impressively catchy riffs.

It's just a sci-fi story, and religion was a factor in it since the story began in Conqueror. Basically, the two largest factions of humans are at odds with each other over their different religious systems and the main character realizes that everything would be better off and more peaceful with a neutral outlook. This doesn't mean the band is inherently atheist, but that theme rings very true in real life as well. Listen to music because you enjoy it, don't let personal beliefs get in the way of every insignificant thing in life, otherwise you're going to be at odds with everything. Coincidentally, your problem happens to be one of the main issues for the protagonist in Mechina's story.

Sadly, I have to agree. They have potential to be amazing, but there are too many things wrong with their music. For example, the tempo is all over the place. And some instruments are either too loud, or too quiet than you would expect them to be. Overall, their music just sounds like crappier Two Steps From Hell songs.
