Impact proxy is a term for a clue or evidence of a highly powerful impact, implying the titan's first landing zone. The Vanguards are looking for the impact crater from when Anicetus arrived on Acheron. As dawn breaks, a storm arrives. The Vanguards aren't used to gravity or weather, especially on this hostile world. They know the importance of this mission though and they press onward through the storm.
