This is one of the most emotional parts of the game. You can betray Clan Smoke Jaguar and siding with Wolf Dragoons or remain loyal to your unit. In my first playthrough, I went with Ezra's choice. I'll be siding with Mia in my second one. By far, the campaign story is a lot better than Mercenaries.

Mercenaries doesn't HAVE a campaign story. Or characters.

@@tetsatou2815 Mech Warrior 5: Mercenaries story was about Jake Mason who wanted to avenge his father who got killed by a mercenary group. That's just about it.

I chose to side with Mia, I would never betray my Clan (but I would like to see Ezra's choice so I'll probably play it again).
@tetsatou2815Ай бұрын
@@briansmith2739 Yes, I'm aware. My joke was meant to emphasize Jake has about as much personality as a piece of cardboard, and gets less characterization than Fahad or Ryanne, so it's very hard to actually give a damn about his vengeance. Constrast this with Mechwarriors 4: Vengeance where your character talks to a number of people and behaves in manners similar to [human: person, normal]

This game is the closest we'll get to a Clan Invasion movie. The storytelling is the best we've seen in a Mechwarrior game, and some characters like Perez and Liam are just downright great.

Man, they did Lincoln Osis wrong in this game. (Sarah Weaver was injured while reclaiming her saKhan position and canonically missed out on the Luthien fighting.)

The BattleTech Lore and this game is VERY close - but yes, that's one of the things that is a little off.

Dang, Jayden is a honest guy. Wish he survives and join force with Paul Moon.
@spaneitogaming23 күн бұрын
Jayden can either choose to stay loyal to Smoke Jaguar, or turncoat on this very mission. It comes with a price either way. You can see Jayden deal with things a bit more emotionally as the missions go on, especially after the Edo Massacre.

@@spaneitogaming I knew it. What I mean if he stay loyal for the cause but not corrupted by Space Jaguar idea. I want him to live long enough. Survive both Battle of Tukayyid and the final battle of Huntress.

Smoke Jaguars really are the misunderstood good guys of Battletech.

They are true Crusaders, they want to bring down the Inner Sphere by any means necessary - to include committing war crimes lol

Why doesn't anyone shoot at the legs? Especially on Mechs that have poorly armored legs? Better salvage and less armor to penetrate...
@spaneitogamingАй бұрын
There is no salvage to be gained at the end of the missions. The Clan does not want garbage Inner Sphere BattleMechs or weapons because they are inferior to Clan technology. Also, it depends on the opponent I'll be fighting whether or not I'm taking the legs or center torso. It's more satisfying to kill the pilot than to leg them.
@remanscimitarАй бұрын
Clans tend to view "legging" battlemechs as inferior style fighting and IS tech is both dated and inferior to clan tech and salvage isn't a worthy note in their eyes.
