*ALARM SOUNDS* "Report!" "Colonel, sensors detecting enemy forces around the Southwest perimeter!" "Deploy Alpha and Bravo lances on the double! Have the 2nd infantry company back them up. And get me intel on who the hell is kicking in our door now!" "Yes sir!" "Sir! 1st company on the line!" "Gordon, what's the situation!" "Kurita forces are pushing in hard Colonel! Panthers and Stingers with infantry support with some sort of long range artillery. Possible Catapult!" "Alpha and Bravo lances are on their way with 2nd company. Can you hold!?" "We're holding by the skin of our teeth, but we'll give 'em hel...*BOOM*....*Static on radio* "Gordon! GORDON!"

The sounds of alarms rang in the base about as the first barrage of LRMs turned Southwest Watchpoint into so much dust. Four Catapults and five LRM carriers smote the building like a hand of god. Sunriders 25th was stationed there as part of a merc company contracted in to fill shortages. tacitly, it'd been agreed this would be a quiet assignment. Out of the ruins crawled a pair of platoons, facing down dozens of armored vehicles and a Heavy/Medium lance. They perished with their guns flashing. 32nd woke up, scrambling. They heard the VTOLs dusting off, thankfully the pilots were preparing for a patrol and so they were already leaving by the time the shells arrived. Still, two of the five burst as they lifted, shattered by enemy AA. Lance Alpha was asleep, Bravo on watch, Charlie in the field, Delta in the shop. It came down to sheer luck that the hangars had just installed their AMS battery when the LRM barrage came in, and so it was not destroyed. Still, some of the cradles were destroyed and an Assault 'mech went to the floor as missiles broke through the armor of the building.

Command had less than two minutes to get into their hardened post. Months of drilling paid off as the entire command staff went from quarters to bunker, just in time for a Kuritan salvo to turn their housing into rubble. The base itself was a pentagonal design, hardened watchpoints at each vertex. With WP Southwest gone, the others managed as best they could. An orderly retreat was given ten minutes later as the situation became somewhat untenable. Alpha came online as Bravo arrived to engage. Bravo was a medium general duty lance, armed with MRMs, ERMedLas, and AC5s, as well as one RA5. Bravo found itself outnumbered twice over by small mechs, and dug in to try and protect their position. 1st Infantry engaged DCMS troops in brutal close quarters of the base, assisted by home ground advantage in the form of turrets and light armor. 2nd Infantry was mechanized, but only just waking up for guard rota. As they deployed, WP North was destroyed and Alpha was forced to swing around to engage multiple Dragons backed by two lances of lights and two platoons of DCMS armored vehicles. Their engagement was... brutal. Heavy focus fire managed to handle Alpha's short range assault lance in short order, while 2nd Infantry tried their best to hold off Heavy and Assault class vehicles paired with a terrifying number of Light mechs.

Had this idea of doing a Battle of Tukayyid music video set to the disturbed song Indestructible following an Atlas as it tears its way through a couple stars of clanners, but... though I can see it clearly in my mind... I have zero skill when it comes to cartooning, digital or otherwise, so, when I see videos like this, well... Your work is super firing me up! Keep at it, you're on to something here

Very nice. Is there a chance that I can use parts of it for an intro for our MWO unit? Giving you credit of course. Or is there a way to license it from you? Regards
