PART 2 of my interview with Dr. Erika Elazegui, UST Medicine Batch 2017 Class Valedictorian. What do top students do differently? Watch to find out!
In this video, I really hope to debunk all sorts of stereotypes about "star students" and class valedictorians.
Akala niyo ba daling dali lang sila sa school? ANO BA, studyante lang din sila. Along with their successes are their own secret struggles and failures too. Yung mga nakakarelate diyan, huwag na mahiya.
The difference is top students set higher standards for themselves, and they have the discipline and determination to really deliver.
It's not just intelligence, but more of the proper MINDSET and ATTITUDE.

Med School is just 4 years then after that you take your post grad internship, then 3-5 yrs of residency, then 2-4 years of fellowship. When you are already nearing the end of your training, you actually forget the 4 years of med school. Then you realize you spent 15 years to become an ACTUAL SUBSPECIALIST. 🙄😂

Sobrang pareho ng law school at med school. It's not for the intelligent and proud but rather for the hardworking. Kailangan din ng sipag at tiyaga sa law school. :) Ate next time if you're doing an interview, I suggest you include a lightning round parang kay Ate Isai Rivera. Haha. Example: "Coffee or tea?" "Library or coffeeshop?" haha parang ganun.

i am about to take my entrance exam on dec 3 in ust and if lucky enough i will pursue med tech!! nung sinabi niya na "kapag pinasok mo yung med yun na yung buhay mo" (or something like that ) nakita ko na yung sarili ko walking to a to a long road with a white coat!!!

Hello ate Aura! I'm not a med student but I always watch your vids. ❤ Its so motivating lalo na this one. I remember one of my blockmate who's always taking me as his competitor, I don't want to feel like that 'cause I don't want pressure. But lately due to family issues, I've been pressured by them (which they haven't ever since I go to college), I keep it back in my mind but whenever I am going to get low scores from my average my inner self starting to freak out, but thanks to this vid, I must not be conquered by the pressure but rather take this everything easy and just do my best. Me hindi naman ako mag memed school pero pinapanuod ko talaga kasi i know na yung motivation na ibinibigay mo dok. Is for everyone not just to those who go for med. I'm a 3rd year medical student. I entered medicine without really knowing the whole process. I just know I wanted to become a doctor. And I just recently started liking to browse youtube and haay, bakit ngayon ko palang natagpuan ang channel mo.. It' been days when I started binge-watching your videos every study break. And your videos really just fan my burning out fire of passion for medicine back to life. 😊 For the past few days, I've been freaking out since I feel like I'm the only one in class who did not keep all notes and files since 1st year med.
